There is plenty of skins, but if I`m sincere, I don`t even care about skins, 99,9% of all time specing in AC is inside the cocpkit, so hardly can see any skin :)

It's funny, with the Rift I drive exclusively in the cockpit view, but despite that I still have this compulsion where I need to make myself a personal skin for any car I drive frequently. I usually wind up modifying some of the cockpit textures as well just to give myself a little bit of personalization that I can see while driving

CC your Insanely great sweet lord please give this to all the RSS cars INLC THE F1'S
Just something I was playing about with, I want something similar to this slightly smaller and inside the pipe at the crest of the rim,
with about 10% of the brightness achieved here, will give the appearance of subtle airflow inside the pipes,
anything else would be too much, but something soft and gentle not massively visible but noticeable if looked at, would be a nice feature when completed currently have my hands full with the rest of the car,
that is just the icing so to speak :)

Is that a bevel that is just catching the light at a perfect angle, or are we seeing into the car? It's more prominent in the GIF.

If that's a problem, I'm sorry, but you're going to have to start this car over again from scratch! ;):D:p
I have it rotating ingame there quite a few settings on the system I just created, well fabricated from thin air so to speak, some people tell my im wasting my breath its overkill,
I am going to hide it further inside the pipe, and turn the brightness down inside the alpha channel,
I want to see subtle airflow coming from these pipes, I will try anyways :)
You've come up with some totally crazy features on this car. You've officially entered @AccAkut & @garyjpaterson territory. There's no turning back now. Once you've entered there is no leaving.

No, seriously...Amazing work. Overkill? Yeah, maybe...but, I think it's great to push the envelope and then to keep pushing and pushing. :)

Looks just like the standard AC buggy shadows to me, where sharp angles let a bit of rogue light through.

Nah, CC's been in that territory before I ever knew what 3ds Max was :p

@ALB123 nah he's like 300% as knowledgeable AND crazy as me :roflmao:. I did a few spinny fans and suspension, he does... actually I have no idea how he does that tube bending and custom helmets and so on.

Ahhh, I didn't know @chargingcar regularly did crazy things like this. I knew he was an amazing artist - that takes about 30 seconds to realize when you see his work, but for some reason I thought he stuck to a more conservative set of guidelines. I definitely didn't mean to belittle or downplay your craziness @chargingcar! :roflmao:

Everything is crazy the team as to hold me back :p
90% of ideas get binned lol :D:D

Hi Guy's
what is the overhaul performance with the cars released running on your systems FPS
just going over some final areas now and building a final inspection and possible fixes, improvements list,
was just inquiring if everyone is overhaul happy with the running of the cars :)

on average on my PC running 24 cars of the current releases I am getting around 85-90fps,
but this is running ultra settings maxed on everything with a GTX 1070 and 64gb memory.
no VR.

Do you want to give us test cases since theres a lot of variables to think of eg 4k skins, the track, num of ai, star sign of the driver......

Both would be great regarding skins ect,
then we have a rough idea on average what kind of performance we are getting in the end with the end user obviously at some point downloading skins from RD or various other places,
like some of these 2018 hybrid skins I have seen range from 50-70MB complete which is really high and should never really be over 30mb Max, luckily this is just a few cases so running a full grid will balance back out again,
I have started deploying my own techniques regarding AC and performance since last week I have done multiple multiple tests on over 30 different cars official and mods,
this VS ferrari concept I improved the performance within 1hr on that car by over 40%,
having this experience with AC over the past 5 years if someone asked me to review the engine and performance and give feedback so they could deploy updates,
I would recommend all cars having 5 LOD the results are staggering when done correctly,
at 1-2-3 meters away this is the main area where you see most of the details most of all the high topology and all the smoothing and lovely details,
having then the main LOD set to 12-15 meters is just sheer waste on performance,

so basically inquiring what kind of performance people are getting so then we can decide if to deploy further performance if required :)

so a full grid using downloaded skins also helps to determine this as well :)

We are running a 36 car grid with the RSS Formula 4 with everyone in customs skins (Around 30mb). I am using a I5-4670k, 8GB RAM and GTX970 and I am getting from 55-60 fps in the start of the race to around 90 fps when we aren't all together. GFX settings are at high, with shadows turned down and AA turned off.

GT pack I was mainly inquiring about, as to the final 2 cars and inspection almost been completed and should be final in the next couple of weeks or so, but thanks for sharing much appreciated :)
