Horrible qual, 2 sec off my following warmup laps.

Race was worse. I managed to stall the car twice on the first lap, and couldn't find the ignition key. 40 secs behind, and so frustrated I started making more mistakes. After a couple of laps, I just couldn't take it anymore and withdrew.

A night to forget.

Sorry Frank for tapping you when I was going to lap you. My wife was saying goodbye on her way out to work and I was distracted.

Poor race from me:(.

Was feeling very disappointed:disapointed: with my first lap error and though i managed to fight back up to 3rd I had scruffy phases and had a hard time keeping my cool with myself. Also made a mistake in 2nd stop as I was very annoyed at how long it seemed to take. I only needed 20l of fuel and 2 tyres yet it seemed to take as long as my others. I'd hoped to be a lot closer to Michel after it in the hope I could pressure him a little.

I hope I can do better at Brands:disapointed:.

Thankfully Estoril is out of the way now.

Well done to Ben and Michel who showed how it should be done and to everyone else who took part. Pity to see such a small field, but hopefully a better turnout next round:good:.

I played with my race setup for some stupid reason,(30 seconds before the race was going to start) bought the wing down by 4 clicks which wasn't a good idea for the race as the car felt awful.
Nothing happened in the race for me(apart from the occasional move on Evans which was always funny on TS)

Also Phillip i didn't cause you to spin at T1 didi i? Because i had a bit of slide/drift on and then i suddenly looked behind and you were in the barriers

And to Mr Garcia HAHA, you had to do an extra lap :)

Bad qualy and race for me, was tapped from behind in 2nd lap and parked in a very bad way so i have to stand and let alot off cars pass before i dared to move
Came out in 15th place but then i tapped Neil and had to wait for him then i was at p20 but finally i managed to start to make some good laps and had some nice fight on the way, finished 8th.

But every pitstop i lost places, dont know what i do wrong in there.

Have good memories from this track; ended up having a blast of an event here, not the best result but no doubt the more entertaining of the season so far.

Qualify
(6th)

Did a 30.8, a bit slower than my PB and as usual I can/will blame the super-pole system :D
To my “shame” this time apart from the usual BMW there was an Alfa in front of me too :wink2:

Race (5th)

Early on gained a position to Christopher (RPM-Alfa) and later to a spinning RPM BMW meaning a 4th position for the 1st stint. Most of this stint was spent fighting very closely with Andreas (3rd BR-BMW) and Christopher 5th. By stint finish both 5th and 6th were about 2 second behind with Andreas on a different pit strategy.
When the first pit-stop came I was a bit surprised to be “sharing” the pit-stopping area with Mark Guy and went in slowly afraid of missing the exact pit-stop point. These seconds were sufficient to bring closer to me again for the 2nd stint Christopher and now Martijn (SeatDutch Race Clan) too. As typed above, Andreas was on a different pit-stop strategy and went away in 3rd 8 seconds in front.
Early part of the 2nd Stint was spent fighting for 4th with Christopher but later and for a longer time with Martijn. As Martjin was behind he had the tactical advantage of choosing when to pit-stop and with that to be able to overtaking me in the pits by pit-stopping 1 lap earlier. Although with this (I gave one more lap with my 2nd stint tyres) I would have better tyres by race end, one thing is to catch someone and another is to overtake him.
The 3rd was going to be another well fought battle. I came out of the pits 5th but very close to Martjin, as expected, Andreas race tactic (he raced the 2nd stint about 8 seconds in front of us) would “pair” the pace with ours by race finish. With the coming final laps the fight for 3rd was truly alive with everyone within a second from 3rd to 5th (6th was about 18 seconds behind). On the last lap I was surprised by the defensive line of Martijn entering turn 1, it wasn’t my intention to overtake him there as more important to me was for him to overtake Andreas (championship adversary) and I touched him on the inside while braking on the limit to avoid his car. Was sorry, waited for him to go by again as he took a kitty litter route and sadly (for us) a “without tyres” Andreas could cruise to the flag in 3rd.
In the end I lost the intense race long battle for 3rd, came 5th, in part lost it in the pits but I’ve to take my hat to Martjin as he was the winner of the Alfa/Seat private battle.

Congratulations to the podium, you 2 front runners (Rami & Peter) had a race pace notably above we “2nd group” racers (about .5 a lap quicker), special thanks to all those who raced near me (Andreas, Martjin and Christopher) as it was very intensive/clean:good:. Thanks to all who took part has everyone had a very “professional” behaviour and I hadn’t any trouble all race long.

Will just finish by thanking RD for the server (race/forum), also my teammate (Abdul) that even with his lack of time for practicing was able to bring it home 10th allowing the team to be back with 2 cars in the top 10 like in the 1st race. :)

Well, a mistake in chicane during qualy and i start last.

Then, out of nervosity, i manage to overtake everybody on formation lap ;-)

that was funny moment :) lol

Just looked at Mtommi's screens... great job Steve! Excellent team result considering that our other team member wasn't at the race for some reason...

Congratulations buddy, thanks so much for filling in for me! :thanks:
yes steve did good job was really fast have few batlle with him clean racing :)

il do my report tomorow this race toke everything form me Oo
im beat

To Neil, im very very sorry for turning you around in the chicane, i really hope that it wasent me cousing you to leave later in the race :(
no m8 i managed to recover from that without damage, what caused me to leave was my wheel/pedals i went off a couple of times after my brakes started playing up as my brake pedal started to fail and i was down to only 75% of pedal pressure with my pedal depressed all the way to the floor, then the last off my throttle started reving like crazy before settling at 50% max so i pulled off the track and tried to fix it but nope so it was time to hit esc :weep:

RDSTL S1 ESTORIL ROUND 4 (DIV 2)

Ben Tusting :first:
Michel Salvador :second: Philip Antonia :third:

QUAL 4th ; 1.31.8 not my best since i did 1.31.4 in practice 1 Oo i think superpole make me to nervous so i was more in safe mode give me 4 th was happy:)

Race 2 th ;after t1 phil did minor mistake that cost him few position so i became 3 th ,i maintain 3 th til lap 6 i was behind the new driver steve crossland really fast driver:) but then laps 6 lost abit control so i became 2 th .Then pit stop i new ppl wil go with 2 short OR long/short i was happy to see ben same pit as me lap 16-17 other went longer .

After 22 laps BEN/ME/PHIL ,phil was getting close cant remember the gap at that time i was 12-15 sec from ben really is just to fast ,then i decide to pit laps 31-32 i saw few car in front so i decide let go abit early:)

Ya i went 2 short pit with full tyre since this track was hard on tyres then after laps 32 i was 3 th since i new phil wil pit at lap 39 with les fuel and 2 tyres change as i expect from round 1 :) so my goal was to be fast as i can with no mistake cause i dint know what wil hapen after lap 39:) with phil ,btw lap 39 sry Niss for t1 bump i dint expect you brake that early after watching replay was even abit far from you and hit you abit sry man but i was happy you came back fast to the track :) ok wel i became 2 th after philp pit gap was 12 sec so from lap 40-49 i was playing safe and trying to maintain good speed that i did ok, gap was getting abit loose so less pressure .

finaly finsh 2th ,was happy since im portugues born in canada so im luso canadian :) this race was awesome but really hard on the mind IMO ,it not the best track but it not the worse to . the worse track is coming next week in f1 istanbul :)ahah

Me too, lost like 7 secs i don;t have explanation for that/ SOmebody didn;t change tyres maybe?

G. Petersen, did you change tyres in Pit 1?

I did change tires and I don't use autopit.

I had a few bobbles in Quali and ended up 13th. The first few laps I managed to stay out of trouble and moved up positions. I didn't spent much time on pit strategy so I just got 4 tires and full fuel. It took 30 secs. Then, about 5 or 6 laps later I went into the s-turn too quickly and bumped my nose into the barrier. I was going like 10mph and it took my nose off so I had to pit again. I was so bummed when I pitted that I did a full stop plus the aero fix. That took another 40 sec. That put me way behind. I never quit a race as long as I'm running so I continued on.
I had to pit a 3rd time when I did another slow spin and bumped a barrier, which ruined my aero.
I ended up 13th, 3 laps down.
Congratulations to the winners! When I grow up I want to be as good as you guys!:baby:

Qually: 10 th

not liking the superpole,i'm always better the 2 nd lap :snail:.....lol

Race: 4 th

Had an absolutly fantastic race, very nice fights the hole race.
But catching up to someone is 1 thing, passing him is something different esspecialy if you're only a few tens of a second quicker.

I've just watched the replay and pretty much the first half of the race i had the camera looking back from Joao's car, and after the second pitstop i used the hood cam on Joao's car.Great to see this little train of cars.

At the end we (Joao and me) were catching p3,lap after lap we were getting closer and closer ,finally we were on his rear bumper but i just didn't had the speed to overtake him easely and as we enterd the first corner of the last lap i was trying to move closer to Andreas(p3) and at the same time leave no change/room for Joao to pass me,unfortunatly i surprised Joao with that and he locked his brakes for a second(i think) and couldnt make the turn anymore and so he slided in the side of me.
Gentleman as he is he waited for me but by then Andreas had to much of a gap to us and we finished 3,4 and 5.

I was really completly sweaty after the race, concentration level the hole race needed to be very high just to be able to hold on to these guys, pffff.

Congratulacions to p1 and p2 , i dont know what you guys put in you'r cars but it seems they run on rocketfuel.

Also a big :woot2: to my teamboss Freddie who managed to snatch the last point.
So overall a good race for team TDRC.

Sorry Frank for tapping you when I was going to lap you. My wife was saying goodbye on her way out to work and I was distracted.

Poor race from me:(
No worries Philip, although I must admit that it was the last straw that made me pull out entirely. I actually thought I was to blame for the crash somehow and that your apology was a "just in case" courtesy.

The only positive point is that it really says something about this community!

Interesting race for me...

Quali: 14th
Didnt expect much, so that's where I should be anyway... :)

Race: 9th
Well, I think that was a good race for me... I had a good start and passed the drivers who got involved on some accidents... From that point on I battled with Ivo and Abdul. Sometimes on track, sometimes on pits and sometimes only trying to decrease/increase the difference. Good race!

Thanx to RD, staff and all drivers for the great league! :)
