Crashed out on stage 12 I think it was. Gutted... Was doing ok up until then. :(

I might not try and do the whole thing in one go next time I think.

Thanks to all the organisers for putting it on, looking forward to the next one.

Just done 7 to 11, only two half spins in hairpins, first of those brought me within a virtual foot or so of a bystander but I lucked out and did not touch him. Safely navigated the first two long stages as well, now looking ahead with dread to the night between day three and four, the two long stages in the dark back to back. Tomorrow at this time I'll be either a wreck or a happy survivor of my penultimate leg. Loving every second so far.

So #164 survived the rally. Pushed on the familiar stages but held back on the others. Lots of small mistakes here and there but other than a full attack on a stone wall on SS13 I'm fairly happy with the event.

I might have an insider on my crew though. After clear instructions not to touch the current setup one mechanic decided to raise the suspension dramatically. The car rocked like a boat for two stages but was properly set up again on the next service. Someone's getting fired.

I have never played a rally game before but was talked into buying Dirt and joining this about 10 days ago and have to say I am having a lot of fun with it. Just finished Day 2, happy to be sitting P54 overall, P19 in class with virtually no damage. I really need to start playing with setups because everything I am doing is on the default that the game comes with.

Best story from me thus far: I was at the end of stage 1: I hit the sign warning me that the finish was 100M ahead, it went under the car and I had 3 wheels in the air and all i could see was sky ... i just kept the foot in her because i was on a straight and so close to the line ... the slow mo of the car crossing the line was just the underside of car.

Got sat down and did the first six stages last night.

Stage 1 went OK, was a little nervous and struggled to get into a rhythm but kept it clean. Stage 2 did not go as well. Had a spin on a fast section and was lucky to come away from it with my light intact! :O_o: was still driving nervously and not fully concentrating on the stage. The 037 punishes you if your mind wanders :(
The plus side to the spin was it allowed me to calm down and find a rhythm! with the spin out the way, I could just enjoy the drive and forget about the competition :)

Stage 3 went without much issue, but stage 4 was slippy as hell! I was pleased to get that out the way.
Stages 5 & 6 went well enough, a few moments, but nothing you don't expect with the 037 on Monte ;)

For those interested in watching my first 6 stages, I've linked it to the racetube channel here
http://www.racedepartment.com/media/videos/rdrc-monte-carlo-037-stage-1-6.23526/

I'll hopefully do the rest tonight :)

I've dragged the 037 to the end!!

Mostly went well without to much drama, apart form Stages 11 & 13 - between them, they accounted for 4 spins. Stage 13 being plain awful for me from start to finish. Absolutely no grip at all... so to make up for that I blasted through stage14, finishing less than 2 seconds behind the current leading 4wd+ for that stage on PS4 :)

Overall I'm happy with my performance and don't think I could of done much better than I have. Looking forward to seeing where I end up!
I have the last of my stages sitting on my PS4 and will get them uploaded tomorrow night for any that are interested.

Thanks for a great event and looking forward to the next one :)

Well much to my amazement, I've completed 6 stages and not sacked it. Had a very close call on stage 3. Swung the back around a ridge sticking out of the road, the rear clipped the bank on the other side, hooked the car, and tried pulling me in. Saved it and put the hammer back down. Much to my amazement I've been quickest on 2 stages only by a second on one and a 1/2 second on the other. Still sitting aways back and knowing more guys gotta run on ps4. Anxious to see where we all end up vs the pc and xbox guys!

Well I'm through the Hellish long night stages. Had a thump into the wall coming out of on the hairpins that bent my hood up some and broke the windshield, but I think I might have clawed back some time from those in class ahead of me. I think I'm 7th in class after chucking my original setup and going with another more radical one I had saved. For whatever reason I can't seem to record on playback right now so pictures will have to do. Hoping with a couple cups of coffee in the morning to pick up some time and score some points for the season. I may have to think about swapping cars for the next event, I'm just having a hell of a time making the Team Fate Rally Opel competitive.
