been there done that n got the t-shirt and they still get too hot to make it real fun to drive, don't get me wrong i am all for pushing it to the limit but 2 punctures in 2 races just after the 50 minute mark is making me look a bit harder why
Make that three punctures, my Nissan also blew the left front with 2-3 minutes to go.

@Ivo - The Nissan is a very easy car to drive indeed, but only for the first few laps. Once those tire temps start to spike, you are just constantly fighting to get car turned as it is pushing the front all over the place. I really hope my tires will last the full race distance in future events.

Qual= 19
My BP during the Qualifying session was 2m13.556 But I did 2:13.0XX last night with my last practice session, but anyway I knew it was not bad as my goal was to do the possible minimum mistakes and to finish the race in one piece.

Race= 13
Like the others I drove threw the massive multi crashed cars, found my self gaining a lot of positions toward 13th I think, then I fought for position 12 and 11 for about 5 laps or more, and then I got position 11 and kept it for long time dropped for 12 and catch it again, but I missed the braking point in the last 2 laps, which coast me the 11th position and dropped back to 14th, But the car in the front did something wrong so I got the 13th position to finish the race with it.

Congrats for the Podium hunters and for the all finishers and Feel bad for those been involved with the "Rest in peace car" after the first turn.

Cya all in WG

Best :)

nice race yesterday (except the startproblem)

q: was a bit better than expected and ended in 4th just 0.001 s behind
ben ;)

r: The start was ok for me and i could follow the 3 in front. After a few rounds florian raised a gap to the rest of us and some time later gregory as well.
I did concentrate on ben and tried to find a gap to pass him, but without success.
The battle between us last up to last round and there i got a chance to pass him and i did.
I hope it wasn't to hard for you, in my eyes it was ok.
All in all i had a great evening, thanks to all of you guys.

Format adjustment

As both Ivo and me have bad feelings about what has happend last night we have discussed several options of what to do. After the race we have both agreed that a restart of the race should have taken place. Unfortunately we both did not realize during the race what exactly has happend after the last turn formation lap at the start of the race and therefor continued racing.

We have decided not to reschedule the race because of the tight schedule of the league and the bad experience we have when a league race is rescheduled. It will be inconsecutive to shuffle with races and dates, the dates of the league will remain the same as many drivers have the races scheduled in their real live.

The race last night is the official race and the results will not be deleted. However we are going to implement a scoring system to the results. In this system your worst result of one of the official races will not count towards the final league standings, it will only count for race results and not qualify results. If a penalty is rewarded to a driver in his worst results the penalty will not be deleted out of the overall league standings.

This is the best solution for the league which will not benefit or disadvantage drivers like it will in a rescheduled race.

The format change is posted here to inform you all and not to discuss it.

Format adjustment

The format has slightly changed, under the header points table is the following added.

After the final round, the worst result of all drivers will be deleted from the overall standings. So in total 5 races will count for the championship. If a penalty is rewarded to a driver in his worst race result, the penalty will remain and counts towards the final standings.

@Remco & Ivo: It is not the decision I hoped for, but hey, we're not racing for prices or whatever. It's just for honor and fun. So I think it's the best possible decision in the given circumstances.

:doublethumb:

Let's laugh about this crazy incident, forget about it and concentrate on Watkins Glen! :cool:
