BRITS CHANT FOR JAMES
Chant throws down gauntlet as Honda dominate Pre-Season
1st. James Chant
2nd. Ben Utzer +9.104
3rd. Ben Herbert +37.518
Brands Hatch saw the first attempt at a race simulation this week, as the new v2.0 cars were finally driven in anger. Happily, the RDFIA also had no problems with penalties. James Chant made it a good day for the locals, winning from Ben Utzer. Chant nearly blew his pole position, seemingly inching forward just as the lights went green, but was deemed ok (for the test at least). While Utzer gave the ex-champion a run for his money for the most part, it was in fact Ben Herbert who stole the show in his first outing in his Red Bull. Utzer and Herbert started 5th and 6th respectively, but poor pace from those in front quickly saw them take the positions before the pit stops. Old Wolf was able to take 4th, although his pace was disappointing, it gave hope to the Jordan team that their slow-pace is still better than others. Sig Man took fifth, while Florin Diaconescu, Sasha Jednak, Rami Saidy, Thomas Hackel and Omer Said rounded the top-10 with many botched overtaking manoeuvres and hand gestures for the entirety of the race.
Seems Forum Racing is back again then...
