That was hell of a race, and the first time I actually gave some battle around.

I ended 8th out of 9 survivors on R1, although I was very satisfied, the leaders were nowhere near lapping me.

On R2 I started on pole, terrible feeling seeing something like a dozen cars in the mirror, half of them proven to be faster than you. But I pushed as much as I could, lost p1 on the big turn, regained it on the hairpin! (mind you, that was the first time A Casado has taken the lead ever), then on the almost last corner I was side by side with (don't remember now, purple car), seeing that pushing it further would only end in with both on the grass I lifted... and 3 cars passed me on the spot. Was going to happen eventually. Some other mistake and a car crashing me (but because I lifted to no crash myself into somebody else) let pass a few more cars and I stabilized on 8th. Then I got Ken, who seemed to have made a mistake, and started pushing so I actually opened a nice 5 or so seconds gap. Those few laps I was driving like a madman, to the point that I could keep Marian (the next in front, and winner of R1) almost at a stable gap. I landed a few times sliding sideways on the fast turns.

When I was happily waiting for 3 laps more, Mikhail made a mistake and I had him almost at reach, between the extra risk I was taking to get him and my dog getting a rage attack against who knows what I finally screwed up and Ken passed me. I could keep 7th anyway because mikhail had some big problem (he appeared next time with a +2 laps).

It was fantastic. Congrats to the winner and special thanks to Marian for some training on the weekend. I think it was definitively noticeable.

Was wondering what happened to you in the 2nd race, I started the second race 13th and at the end of the first lap all of a sudden you were behind me, I tried to hold you off but you easily got me in the hairpin. I was then battling out last three spots with cars I cannot remember their names, we kept passing each other then would have a mistake, rinse and repeat we probably traded last 3 spots a dozen times in 10 laps. All clean fun racing.

These cars make me feel soo nervous driving, like they want to break free at any time at any speed. I do look forward to the Formula Ford races when they happen.

I wanted to also thank Dave Flowers for posting his setup in chat, I knocked off 5 seconds from the default setup with his. Although I didn't do great in the races I am improving and I am having tons of fun, so much better than public servers with drivers that don't care. Thanks Race Department.

i guess ppl are getting tired of STCC, the last events where empty and this one is the emptiest.

Actually, the attendance on most STCC Wednesdays is perfectly fine... go back and check the event posts. Sunday mornings are often lower, but that is to be expected. More people are free in the evenings than in the mornings. Last Sunday's event was particularly flat but it was an F1 GP weekend so that's hardly surprising. I don't know why this particular event has such a low sign-up rate, but it's certainly no time for knee-jerk reactions.

Really enjoyed it up until the internet signed me out, a few moments of competing cars seemingly disappearing and re-appearing should have in hindsight been my clue :( . But anyway had fun 'battles' at the rear of the pack in race one.
I feel I should also apologise to whomever it was behind me on the grid at the start of race one, as I messed up my star and ergo I would assume theirs also. So sorry about that.

These formula ford events just keep getting better and better thank you RD and all who attended, BIG thanks and respect to Gunther Rowe, T2L Racing for putting such an awesome mod together too.

Fun battles all the way, admittedly some drivers seem to forget that they take 2 or 3 laps to warm up and that the car in front of them has to slow down if it too has a car in front of it, but as we carry on and all gain experience it can only get better.

Was on the server for ages before official praccy and then went off to sort a few things during qualy, only to get back with 4 mins left, didn't manage to set a qualy so started race 1 at the back 18th on the grid - managed to claw back to finish 5th, great fun and a serious result for me. That saw me start 4th on the grid for race 2, and into T1 had one of those - cars in front of me, nowhere to go except slower situations, unfortunately the car behind didnt go slower, so I got shoved off and came out of T1 in 13th, no worries but a note to ALL drivers - these are 25 minute races and this is not Gran Tourismo, thank god - so take it easy! Managed to keep clean and safe and finally brought it home 2nd behind Nick, just ahead of Reggie - thanks for spinning and gifting me 2nd Reggie, there's now way i would have caught you, let alone have got passed otherwise!

All in all a great event, keep turning up keep improving, the racing is getting faster and faster and closer and closer every week, which just increases the fun x 100 every week, thankyou all.

Follwoing advice fomr the good people on this forum, this week i have invested in Race07, Evolution and now Race ON just so I can participate in this event becasue my Friday night out is cancelled. so, sign me up please, but go easy on me.

There's usually a good spread of people in the Mini events in terms of pace, and I'm sure some of the guys who know what they're doing with set up will help you out too, enjoy!
