Fun race as usual in these little cars.

Q: well not as quick as I had hoped but thats typical for me. R1 was a grind right away. battling very very hard all the time. HIt the pits and get fronts. Exit to find Dariusz closer than before the stop. Jesper pits lap later than me and takes the lead form Dariusz! Keith has improved his gap on me with a sizzling stop and out lap. We run side by side to the chicane. I seriously consider a complete lockout move but if it goes bad, I am on the outsode at entry and will find the beach for sure. We run inches apart through the chicane and through Carousel.

I am holding a gp of 1 second for 3 laps, then reduce it to .75 and then have a big stupid moment off the oeft hander leading to pit entry....crush the car into the wall and kill the RF tire and remove all that unecessary front bumper stuff. I resume in 6th and finish in 8th. Another unforced arror has me concerned about my concentration these days.......

R2 well I am on pole at least. I get a great start beating Willie to T1. I extend to about 1.2 seconds on Saul. ONe big error brings Saul to close for my liking and we are in a real scrap for P1. Ultimately we end up bumper to bumpr through the esses with me protecting inside. Saul goes full left but is not overlapping yet. Geting close tot he braking pont I move left and we just touch a bit then brak ehard. I get through the chicane and hear Saul say something about "saving it" and look to the mirror and see him in a big slide med chicane. Sorry if I caused the accident Saul I though I was clear to you and we were clean entering the chicane.

From there its a matter of holding the lead without messing it up. I take the win for R2.

Still making mistakes though.........maybe its time for some type of Oriental herbal supplements for the brain?

Looking forward to Fridays ATCC race here!

Murat Erdogdu:
"P.S. : some guys have brake points very close to the turns. i wonder how they manage to slow down in such a short distance, is it only about the setup up, or the wheel-pedal they are using. Please help me to find out this issue :)"

i belive that is because of conection,it seems to you that he is braking so late but i think that he is not,,,try to download some hotlaps online and have a look at brake points,,,

Put me down as a maybe please. I need to learn this track for the Mini race, but am not sure i'm up to the GT class yet (although the Escort V8 race was a blast, so maybe....). I'll do some practicing and see.

Anyone want to recommend a particular car for me to drive, as the rank beginner that I am?! I'm drawn to the Corvette, of course, but would be happy to drive one of the others if it's a better car for a noob.

EDIT: Never mind, I found some posts that suggested the Mosler was the most beginner-friendly, and so I found a setup from Jarrod and tried that. Nice setup! But I'm not sure I'm ready for GT. The best I seem to be able to do is 2:02, and that seems to be pretty slow, and there's not a lot of room for error on those twitchy beasts.

I know if might seem harsh, but maybe the same as the F1 and others use.

If you fail to keep up with the leading car. You maybe subject to an infraction. As that seems to be one of the issues. Some drives falling way behind. Then they fly up to the driver infront and then they are having to slam on and this then causes issues behind.

If they are doing this just to try and get a run on the driver infront then it could solve some issues.

Something like a rule of. You can drop no more than 2 or 3 car lengths before you are subject to a warning.
