I know we are all excited for this release. What I don't know is how many people intend to a) play it on the xbox one and b) would like to join some sort of a formal league here at Race Department.

There are so many possibilities, I've had to calm myself down from getting lost in them. However, my main passion, IndyCar, will probably not be able to be run until the DLC with the ovals comes to the Xbox One.

That said, what sort of series would you like to see? Personally, ones that come to mind are Tudor United Sports Car Series, WEC, British Touring Car, and DTM. One of these could fill the gap for me until IndyCar is possible, but others may have better ideas.

Please indicate below if you are interested and what sort of times you are available and which series' you prefer. We could follow the actual schedule of many a series, due to the timing of the release. Personally, if they get the ovals out before IndyCar starts, I'll probably turn my focus there, but nothing would prevent running another alongside.

The anticipation is killing me!

What was everyones favourite christmas present?

A ducktail spoiler for my car

How did you spend new year celebrations?

With friends, drinking for 3 days. I still dont feel well

Are you looking forward to this weeks race?

Mehh, im one of, if not the only to not change, so it will be interesting

What was your personal highlight of 2017?

Buying my frst car

Anybody have a time down for this track in a GT3? I’ve only ran 3 laps so far and only at a 4:08. I know the cars are different from PC1 but that seems a bit off, plus I don’t have my braking points down yet.
Edit: Low Fuel run is down to a 4:05.9

They do seem alot slower than pcars 1 (I can see they're down on power anyways), but I just can't get to grip with the physics and setups yet, not feeling comfortable at all. Low fuel runs (3 laps of fuel) I got down to 4.02.xxx. That was with stock setup but lowered downforce. Everytime I try to change something in my setup, I feel like I make it worse lol. Need alot of practice before the race, or else it's going to be 2.4 hrs of torture!

The option for a custom date got 6 out of 10 votes, so we will be using that system from Sugo on. The in-game date for Sugo will be May 10th, 2018. I will make a complete calendar with dates for all remaining races this season.

As for the weather, I am in favor of using the actual weather (but when there is snow or hail it will be raining in-game). The weather conditions will be announced on the Monday before the race.

Does everybody agree, or do you want to use the set dry-dry-wet system?
Has anyone tested Sugo to see if the stutter is gone?

  • Time period of the video to be observed: Whole video.
  • Drivers involved - Me & Gaz
  • A brief description of your side of the incident including time lost.
Gaz gets turned around by Adam at T2. I get to the turn in point as Gaz rolls to a halt, so I hug the inside curb, only for Gaz to drive into me, giving me front damage. I didn't really lose that much time, but had chronic understeer after and would have been in front of Gaz.

In the video note that Gaz was basically on the back line of the turn when he stopped.
Ben was able to get down the inside.
I was already turning in when Gaz moved froward.
Where Gaz was stopped could be seen as dangerous, but It is a slow turn preceded by a long straight, so I had time to asses the situation. Gaz should have just waited literally another 1/2 seconds.
Matt got a penalty for a very similar incident at algarve.

Generally an enjoyable night of racing. Well done everyone.

Feature - p7
Couldn't get a decent lap in quali.
Decent start and worked my way up to 8th before i spun in s2, followed by a few small mistakes.
Wasn't feeling too comfortable with the pressures i set in my strategy so went as long as i could AND ENDED UP LEADING 5 LAPS (pigs are now close to flying).
Towards the end liam and matt came together and managed to pass them both in the last lap. Solid p7.

Sprint
My car didnt move off the line and was a matter of staying with the pack, which i just about did. Had an incident with gaz after he spun, but came home in 7th again.

Overall happy to continue my solid run of mid top 10 finishes. However, disappointed with frank's expectation of me in the stream, expecting me to finish last. I expect a public apology on next weeks stream hahaha

Sorry m888. Sadly my view was quite different. Your live timing didn’t work in my view and I think I saw other liveries than I was supposed to.

Reading your side of the story however... Well done! Keep up the good work

Here are the hotspots for the Austria Sprint. As per the intro, drivers were allowed 4.

Drivers were given some leniency this week, to help keep numbers down.

Below is the race live stream, go to 40:50 for race results and gaps.

Feature Q6
R9

Dont know what was up in Q. Did a 29.4 just right before Q, but in the session only managed 29.9. Could've started P3.

Start. After the first lap i had a big chunk of damage, through no fault of my own, but that was the least of my problems. I realised i still had Q fuel, so pitted, my stop was about 30-35s longer than normal. Had clean air, so just pumped out laps. Was in P8 on lap 19, 5 secs behind Matt, caught him on lap 25, and was all over him, but Alas. He spun out of T1, and i T-Boned him, my car was destroyed, was defenceless from Seeks. I was steering right on straights, and couldn't get above 110 mph. If i didnt mess up fuel, could've been fighting for podium, but even my recovery P7 was thrown away, again through no fault of my own.

Sprint Q2
R2

Scraped a 29.5 Out at the end. I knew Ramsay had a terrible start in the feature, and he did it again. Not sure what Matt did off the line but he just shot straight into me and gave me some rear damage. So i was leading, and creating a very comfy gap back to Jamie, 2s in 1 lap, but Ramsay got through, and i knew it would br a fight from there. He eventually caught up, and that ferrari is ridiculous, it was like defending from an LMP car on the straights, we battled it out, i had a bad T1 on lap 13, giving him a run, and he got by, i tried an ambitious move down into T3, but overshot it.

Matt went right to avoid Ramsey

For the stewards attention regarding my extends I had wheel issues which can be verified by my teammate and @Adam Morris which made it hard to get around corners due to the back end stepping out. I have a Fanatec wheel and by default it was set to “drift” mode I only found this out after I checked my settings against my teammates and found this issue. Thanks
