I know we are all excited for this release. What I don't know is how many people intend to a) play it on the xbox one and b) would like to join some sort of a formal league here at Race Department.

There are so many possibilities, I've had to calm myself down from getting lost in them. However, my main passion, IndyCar, will probably not be able to be run until the DLC with the ovals comes to the Xbox One.

That said, what sort of series would you like to see? Personally, ones that come to mind are Tudor United Sports Car Series, WEC, British Touring Car, and DTM. One of these could fill the gap for me until IndyCar is possible, but others may have better ideas.

Please indicate below if you are interested and what sort of times you are available and which series' you prefer. We could follow the actual schedule of many a series, due to the timing of the release. Personally, if they get the ovals out before IndyCar starts, I'll probably turn my focus there, but nothing would prevent running another alongside.

The anticipation is killing me!

Now the patch is out and some cars have been banned how has that affected your car choice?

I want the Ginetta :(

Thoughts on COTA as a track?

Bwoah

Fuji next who will have the advantage here?

Ginetta

Live weather was a hot topic last week. Should the weather be announced on Monday latest, or an hour before the race?

Whenever the Ginetta gets unbanned
I haven’t seen anything posted about banning cars or why they would be banned in the first place. What do you know?

Pretty much ginetta ferrari and porsche. Just to suit the others again when initially ferrari n mclaren were op but nothing have new then... rather annoyed tbh. Yes porsche as that is stupidly op but ferrari n ginetta not really. O well. What the gods say goes

Jamie the Ginetta is insanely fast compaired to most of the cars the fact i can beat my lap by a second without a setup or a proper lap i have tested every car myself and there no favouristism and the Ferrari and Mclaren where fastest yes but not OP by any means in certain drivers hands maybe ;) and the porsche was a no brainer there still tests being done.

I know the porsche is and I agree the ferrari and ginetta no not soo. The ginetta is quick as it' light, so good on brakes and acceleration. I did a lap round Sakitto and it' slower than audi? I don' get where this information is from. And yes I am annoyed,I stuck with the audi till patch and choose another car. Now everyone pretty much gets to change??

What track did you test this at and what lap time did you get in the Ferrari to deem it overpowered?

All cars have been tested at multiple locations.
Then I hope you add the M6 and GTR to the ban list since I’ve done faster laps with them than the Ferrari. Almost every car I’ve tested, you have been there to witness this, apart from the Porsche and Ginetta have been within half a second of each other, so the lap times you did to make these decisions would be much appreciated.

So after pissing about with tyre pressures for a bit, they seem to make zero difference to temps. Both left tyres are just glowing all the time. It just depends if i want them at anywhere between 26 psi to 40 psi at 140C. Qually however, seems to be fine, yh they only last a lap and half the outlap i pretty much have to do with the pit limiter on as to not have them slightly hotter than the core of the sun by the end of a hot lap, but other than that im getting close to that magic 1.43 time, which by race day Have would have got down to a 1.40 anyway, and we can all sit there and double check he hasnt hopped in the 488GTE

The Ginetta might be quick over one lap, but what's it like on heavy fuel & cold tyres? That was it's downfall before.

I agree 100%, even though I find my self unemployed I have less time to practice as I'm constantly putting in applications and doing interviews. And I feel a bit guilty driving during business hours, and I'm trying to spend time with family at night. There is a chance I may get a job that ruins my whole participation in this series.

@Adam Morris To be clear, we can change cars now and one more time if we want correct?

Edit: Also the Z4, Aston, SLS and Renault aren’t on either list. Does this mean they are being tested?

If your car was on the new banned list then you can change without penalty or using your car change for the season... however if you are in a car that is still eligible, that will count as your only change for the season.
