I know we are all excited for this release. What I don't know is how many people intend to a) play it on the xbox one and b) would like to join some sort of a formal league here at Race Department.

There are so many possibilities, I've had to calm myself down from getting lost in them. However, my main passion, IndyCar, will probably not be able to be run until the DLC with the ovals comes to the Xbox One.

That said, what sort of series would you like to see? Personally, ones that come to mind are Tudor United Sports Car Series, WEC, British Touring Car, and DTM. One of these could fill the gap for me until IndyCar is possible, but others may have better ideas.

Please indicate below if you are interested and what sort of times you are available and which series' you prefer. We could follow the actual schedule of many a series, due to the timing of the release. Personally, if they get the ovals out before IndyCar starts, I'll probably turn my focus there, but nothing would prevent running another alongside.

The anticipation is killing me!

So... after seeing all the insane driving of the sprint race on the replay.... i might have an idea to make the sprint less of a bumper car battle.

What do you guys think about running the sprint first? Meaning that the top 5 from the sprint can't qualify for the feature. The reason I bring it up, with the feature being double the laps and requiring a pit stop, the faster drivers have time to make their way through the field rather than making dive bombs/unorthodox moves to get past slower drivers.

Let me know what you think.... we seem to always have issues in the sprint and not in the feature.
I like the idea, but the problem I see is that there are more than 5 people capable of winning a race in this league. Which means there are going to be fast people starting at the front for the feature no matter what. Given the difference in points available for the 2 races, I think the sprint race would turn into a battle for 6th place each time. The crashing is just down to decision making and awareness really. Almost everyone ran into someone at Algarve. I know I had a few misjudgments.

The format is good I think it’s just drivers in the sprint are trying to win the race within a lap. Not sure what they can do to fix it other than maybe just having one longer race with optional pit stops or something. The sprint was designed to give new winners and in that regard it works like last night, in a normal race without reverse grid maybe 2-3 people can win

Feature
Quali p10- not overally happy witht the lap but probably would have only gained 1 or 2 places with a good one.
Race p7
The first stint was boring, but second stint i had a good long battle with lance, until i lost the back end about 2 laps from the end. Was disappointing because we were closing on ben the whole stint and could have sneaked a top 5, but i have to look at the positives, in that i would have been really happy with p7 last season.

Sprint
Quali p9 - couldnt get a lap in.
Race p10
Good start passing lance and jeremy, but then gaz popped out of nowhere at t5 wipping me and jeremy out. Thankfully i was still in the main group, only to be t-boned by ben and oz coming together at the end of the lap. Thought i would be able to catch up and have a race again, but then noticed i had feature race fuel on board, so just couldn't keep up.

Overall i am slightly disappointed because the results could have been better, but this race showed how much more competitive i am compared to last season, so onwards and upwards from here.

P.s. i cant make next week so see you at snet.

APPEALS

If your not happy with the outcome of a stewards enquiry you may APPEAL the result but please note you have 24hrs after the original verdict to post your appeal below and must provide further footage and/or evidence

S5 Stewards enquiry format.
Please use this template when making an enquiry. You MUST have video evidence of your incidents your personal point of view is preferred but if using a race replay please use the chase cam, other view points can be unreliable.

  • Time period of the video to be observed: (give range from start to finish)
  • Drivers involved
  • A brief description of your side of the incident including time lost.
Also the stewards will now have a deadline for each event to get the decision's out by Sunday so the points can be updated quicker.

Penalty system

The stewards have a variety of penalties that may be applied to punish drivers who break the racing rules, depending on the severity of the violation. The available penalties are sorted below, in order of severity. Breaking a rule also leads to penalty points being added to your name - see further down for more details.

(Note that penalties may be added together in the event of multiple violations in a race, which could result in total time penalties of a higher number than what is suggested below)

5-second time penalty
● 10-second time penalty
● 20-second time penalty
● 30-second time penalty
● Qualifying ban for the next race (may also be applied in place of a time penalty if the driver did not finish the race)
● Disqualification from the race
● One-race ban
● Multiple-race ban
● Permanent removal from the league

Any penalties will be aimed at the person who has done wrong - we cannot compensate anyone else as a result of someone's actions. All penalties are discussed by the Stewards Panel before being issued and the driver will always be informed of the outcome. The Stewards Panel is completely neutral and will not include anyone who may be affected by the incident in question.

Penalty points system
The penalty points system is a way of keeping track of a driver's record of breaking the rules of clean racing, and to more severely punish repeat offenders. Penalty points will be applied alongside normal race penalties, as per the list below.

5 points - Driving dangerously or un-sportingly
● 5 points - Causing a minor avoidable collision
● 10 points - Causing a moderate avoidable collision
● 15 points - Causing a major avoidable collision
● 5 points - Failing to wait for the affected driver after causing a collision (in addition to one of the above)
● 5-15 points - Excessively abusing the track limits (depending upon severity)
● 50 points - Deliberately crashing into another driver

If you accumulate 25 points, you will be awarded a qualifying ban.

If you accumulate 40 points, you will be awarded a one-race ban.

If you accumulate 50 points, your league position will be put under review, with the likely outcome of being removed from the league.

Penalty points will usually be reset ahead of a new season.

Please note rage quitting will be punished with a qualifying ban for the next race. If you retire from the race you are expected to remain in the lobby until the race is over and AFTER the race replay has been saved. (You may be asked for proof in the event of a disconnection so pls take a screen shot of your disconnect notification)

In the case of the wheel glitch in qualifying please do not leave the race lobby until you have tried to disconnect the wheel and reconnect it to the ps4. This should solve the problem without having to leave and rejoin.

Hi stewards.

Please watch from 1.53.00 until 1.54.00

Drivers involved: @SkaankyPuppy @psscooby and myself.

As I hope is clear @SkaankyPuppy unfortunately span in the lead and was off the racing line. However I arrive at the corner with him trying to rejoin in front of two cars at racing speed. This caused a crash and in my eyes an avoidable incident. I had lost as seen a position in the incident and aswell later on more time due to damage. I will upload another video later with other perspectives.

Many thanks

ANNOUNCEMENT:
After having given it quite some thought, I have decided to step down as a driver in the TNGTC.

For the past months I have been struggling with the pace and just wasn't able to keep up with the rest of the league. I was hoping Project CARS would give me another boost and give me the speed needed to compete in this league. Sadly, it didn't and I have come to accept that I am just not skilled and thus not fast enough to be a part of this league.
Being dead last every single race has become very frustrating to me and I simply don't enjoy racing anymore this way. And since that is what it should be about, I have decided to call it quits.

But since I am very proud to be a member of this league, I will continue to run the various social media channels. Not being a driver will even give me more time to keep those channels up to date.

I would like to thank @Ben Milden for recruiting and mentoring me, @Adam Morris for all his efforts of running this league, @Ben McCluskey for his help with setups, @Night4001 for being my S5 teammate, @Lance Loomis and @Jamief430 for the on track battles, and of course all the other drivers in the TNGTC! I wish you all good luck in this and all coming seasons and I'll be watching you ;)

Such a shame frank. I admired the determination. Fair enough u leave the league....but never give up trying. Never know...u may come back a faster driver. Keep up the effort

Get into broadcasting lol

Sounds like i was one of very, very few who wasnt involved in a crash last night.

Feature
Q5
R4

Not a great lap, but i could only have moved ahead of matt with my PB.

Ok start, jamie got alongside, and eventually got by at T4. Matt spun soon after promoting me to P5, i was getting frustrated behind Jamie, as in 11 laps i only had 1 opportunity to pass, even though i had a slight pace advantage. Decided to undercut him, worked as i came out 5s ahead of him. Then it was try to catch the snakes, but i think i was hampered as when they came out, there tyres were good, and mine were starting to go. Oh well

Sprint
Q N/A
R3

Went great from the get go, as some noob called Alan Morris slammed into me about 0.2s into the formation lap. There was chaos at T4 & T5 which allowed me to gain a few free places. Passed lance with a high risk move (Kudos for seeing me lance), passed jeremy on the piylt straight. Then i benifited from Matt spinning, passed him into T5, then i set after Diogo, had a run on the last lap into T5, but he slammed the door on me (maybe a touch aggressive imo) but jamie ran out of fuel promoting me to P3 which is nice

Rejoin??? I was in the middle of the track, sideways, pretty much blocking it all. I think it would have been avoidable if you had taken Scoobys line, not sure what I could have done differently, as you would have hit me anyway.

Official Announcement

. With the Recent News that @Frank Finch will be leaving the group as a Driver which is sad to hear but after talking with him i am happy to announce that Frank will be our official broadcaster for the remainder of the season. Giving us more coverage of events and over Social Media platforms.

. I'm also happy to announce that Frank will also remain within the league as My Co-Organiser helping me keep the league running smoothly as well as having someone that's not a active driver will help a lot.

Organisers

Organiser - Adam Morris

Co-Organiser - Frank Finch

Driver Name: Colin Pappas
Gamertag: CRC Wolf Rage
Car Manufacturer: Lamborghini
Car # and Sponsor: #33 and Demon Tweeks
Team: Clean Racing Club
With the Addition of the Nissan and the Lambo, we have a lot of diversity and I'm pretty stoked about the season.
If we go with an Expanded field and 2 lobbies based on Speed, we are most likely going to have to qualify on seperate days for the 2.4 hour races.
