Hell I need to try that Supra next time we roll! What song is this? Fits the video damn good, got this "pacific vibe" :geek:
Yeah that Supra is very nice along here ;) Also had an intense 6 or 7 hypercar cruise that turned into a race... And had a duel in a couple of Aventadors with @correca on his server... Great great fun!
Thanks to Correca for hosting his 24 car server... A great addition to @Easy247 's
118 slot and 50 slot servers :)

The song is Monogato - Miami Vibe (Omnia Remix)
Miami is the other side of the States... But I thought it worked well :D

If you want a challenge, try to get the Aventador Northbound in 9:00 minutes or less... That car slides really nicely... and the gear shifts sound great when really going for it... what a car!

Just had a blast online yesterday on @correca server, what an epic work you did with the track! I'm always reluctant to try big 'maps' cause of the weirdness induced by Kunos engine as you get away from the center of the map, but this with this one I can easily get over it :)

Aventador is just mental here, as is the Huyara!

Thanks to you, Phoenix. Thank you for giving us so many hours of fun on your magnificent track. Thank you for your incredible effort and generosity. Now that your steering wheel is working it will be very difficult to follow you mate!

Thanks Mathieu... really glad you can get over the physics weirdness :)
It's usually fine once you set off... and a km or so along the road it goes away.

Yeah some of the guys in the servers have some really really nice skills, and have learnt the lines brilliantly,
It's great seeing a varied mix of vehicle selections as well. 12 people in one server yesterday was brilliant... The Southern parking lot got hilariously busy with people hooning around.. I thought I'd made the parking lot big enough... when there are 50 cars... It might not be :D

I think we might need a decent Police Interceptor mod, maybe with 5 or more dedicated officers to patrol.
These Ragged Point... Cars & Coffee events can get out of hand :D

You're more than welcome mate... Seeing everyone having hours of fun (in either a cruise way, or going for a fast run) is fantastic.. I was happy to see Pacific Coast have over 76,000 downloads... I'm FAR happier seeing everyone getting enjoyment out of it, and in the way I planned from the beginning...
That's what it's all about, Awesome :)

After doing a fast 9 minute(ish) run against you in the Aventadors... You're not so easy to follow yourself mate... Those head to head runs were probably my most enjoyable runs on my track so far. You got some skills mate :)
Once I learn the angles better... and get the FFB right so I can feel when the traction breaks... It's going to get even better :)

A few tips / suggestions... for anyone joining any PCH servers...

Remember to rename your fast_lane.ai to something else e.g fast_lane1.ai
(on whichever layout the server's using, Mansion Free Roam, and Freeroam doesn't have AI)
so you can turn around and do the return trip, without getting a penalty... (I keep forgetting)
Remembering to rename them back so the cameras and offline racing works.

Put your track map on (This is mainly important when you're on a really fast run)
So you can get advanced warning of any oncoming traffic (to be respectful, they get priority),
plus with the track map on you can see if anyone has..... fallen off :D

If you complete a run online, AC will autosave your replays...
They go in your temp replays folder which is really really cool :)

Be aware accidents can happen, and as long as they're not deliberate as far as I'm concerned..
It's all cool... If you spend too long in the parking lots... Drifting, Doughnuts and Burnouts may occur!

Remember to turn on your chat, so if you do accidentally tap someone and send them off a cliff
then you can at least say sorry... Just like this accidental tap! :roflmao:
before_tap.jpg after_tap_flying.jpg
Thanks again to @Easy247 & @correca for hosting... It adds a whole new dimension to my track :)

Hello Phoenix, I have not read all the support pages so perhaps this topic was already discussed.

I'm using default Pacific Coast 0.95 mod. I get these errors in the file ./Documents/Assetto Corsa/logs/errors.txt for every layout:
INIReader: content/tracks/pacific_coast/models_mansion_freeroam.ini > KEY_NOT_FOUND: [MODEL_13] ROTATION
INIReader: content/tracks/pacific_coast/models_mansion_freeroam.ini > KEY_NOT_FOUND: [MODEL_14] ROTATION

INIReader: content/tracks/pacific_coast/models_north.ini > KEY_NOT_FOUND: [MODEL_13] ROTATION
INIReader: content/tracks/pacific_coast/models_north.ini > KEY_NOT_FOUND: [MODEL_14] ROTATION

INIReader: content/tracks/pacific_coast/models_south.ini > KEY_NOT_FOUND: [MODEL_13] ROTATION
INIReader: content/tracks/pacific_coast/models_south.ini > KEY_NOT_FOUND: [MODEL_14] ROTATION

At the same time, and as an example for Southbound layout, in the file /Documents/Assetto Corsa/logs/log.txt you can see:
ERROR: INIReader: content/tracks/pacific_coast/models_south.ini > KEY_NOT_FOUND: [MODEL_13] ROTATION
LOADING MODEL content/tracks/pacific_coast/204.kn5

I got this information in practice mode.

Cheers mate.

@correca Thanks for the info... That is weird... Nothing has been said about that so far...

[model_13] & [model_14] are the guardrails... and the guardrail collision meshes.
maybe I've got to reset the Xform's on it, as sometimes scaling / rotation / pivot alignment can go wonky...
more than likely due to my lack of knowledge...
some objects, pit boxes for example use Y up, Z forward... so maybe I've got confused somewhere...
I find it pretty confusing, especially as when you export the FBX from Max you also export as Y up...
Why Z can't always be up I don't ******* know  lol

Thanks for the info... By the way... was this offline practice or online practice?

If anyone knows if there's anything specific I have to do to make tracks run on Linux servers that'd be cool :)

Did a 8'57''xxx tonight, but it was a pretty lame run. Will post a screenshot when I get better at knowing the layout, hotlapping a car this fast is something way different than sliding a BMW :ninja:
Very nicely done mate :) Any run under or around 9 minutes can't be called lame :)
Yeah it's a totally different thing than just cruising. I did the 9'00 run on a gamepad... so I reckon there's at least 30 seconds to come off that.

Did an 8'32" online in the LaFerrari last night...
(in the cruise server...It kind of turned into a race server at a few points :D)
But again there's a good amount to be knocked off that as I was gently coaxing it at many points... trying to keep the lap (run) valid.

F40's, 458's, Audi R8's, Quattro's, Mustangs, LaFerrari, Huayra and Corvettes...
Was a pretty sweet sight :) The pop's and crackles reverbing from the F40 in the Creeks were amazing... AxeGaming set a rapid 8:48 in the Huayra, so the gauntlet was laid down :)
It gets even dicier when returning back... It's easy to get too focused and not watch out for the black dots on the track map

That was pretty much what happened when I originally bumped into you on the server... In your RX7 racing that Supra Southbound :roflmao: Amazing stuff

I know I can do it better, it's hard though to recall the layout when drving a car so fast. Tonight there was no hotlapping. I went Easy 24/7 with my simrace.pl buddies. PCH, Teamspeak and beer are a perfect match :D:thumbsup:

Awesome mate, really glad you and your buddies are having fun along here, shame I missed it... Great screenshots, shows the action nicely :)

Don't worry about the speed too much... You've qualified yourself into the Sub 9 minute club ;)
23km (14.3 miles) in 8'57" along a twisty dangerous coast road is a really good run mate :) Remember PCH in real life is one of the worlds most dangerous roads!
My re-creation of it is also pretty dangerous ;)

We are planning to visit PCH once again on Wednesday, 21:00 (9:00 PM) Warsaw time. Dunno if my crew is going to be as big as it was on Saturday, but I'm pretty sure some randoms will join us as well. Anybody is welcome :geek:
Nice one mate, hopefully I'll be about then :) If not I'm sure I will be at some point... Be cool driving with you again.
Just been in the Flat out server attempting to re-learn a bit of heel toeing in @A3DR 's & @aphidgod 's superb 512TR... Also Diablo's and @Some1 's amazing NSX... Ferrari GTO and also the Veloce... I really need to get a shifter, feels a bit weird using the clutch and the paddles. But amazing fun seeing these cars blast past!
Screenshot_a3dr_ferrari_512tr_pacific_coast_21-11-117-1-1-48.jpg

Apart from some police... It's like a Need for Speed server ;)

Why the GTO? You've ruined the nice "aphidgod worked on this car" theme you had going. :D
:roflmao: Personally I love the GTO along the coast...
Give me a hawaiian shirt and a 70's porn star moustache...
and I'm Magnum PI (I know that was a 308)
b6zXribIyPozdorDRJdyK8x7HmF.jpg

If you're that offended... to counteract it, one day I'll open a thread called....
"Aphidgod, and all the amazing cars he's worked on"

Possibly... Maybe! :D

Anyway... if we had the RT10, C4, 993 and Police Interceptors...
There wouldn't have been space for the GTO :p

Good to know mate, obviously I'm only mucking about :)
What's a sickness...? wanting to drive Magnums Ferrari?
I tried to get help, but there was nothing they could do :D

Sorry, early morning here, I still need more caffeine :coffee:

Back from the sebatical...I noticed the servers around, last night I thought great time to join in the fun,but the only server with anyone in (3 people: yourself, Phoenix77, plus other name undisplayed due to issue...), had some unavailable content notice (over the 3rd name) plus wouldn't allow me to scroll the car list to find what was needed. Is there a list somewhere? And really...anyone?

Hi Jez, yeah it's a real shame that you can't see what the unavailable content is. It would be awesome to have a server information page... With links to the required content.

The downloads you need currently to join the Flat Out Server are...
http://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/honda-nsx.4768/
http://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/nfs-tournament-class-a.16905/
http://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/veloce-gts-8.9828/
Also using the Kunos Ferrari 288 GTO, Nissan Skyline GTR R34 and Audi Sport Quattro :)

It's my fault about the unavailable content thing... as I suggested to try out the Need for Speed cars, as they totally love it along here.

The Easy24/7 servers, the 118 and 50 slot, are currently using only Kunos content.

The 118 slot Mansion Free Roam is using Dream Pack 1 (the one with Nords) and the Japanese Pack also the Free Kunos cars. A Huge selection of cars.

The 50 slot Northbound is using just the Free Kunos cars.
A wide variety of cars.. Including LaFerrari, Huayra, 458, Yellowbird, R8, F40, Corvette, Mustang....

Consider joining the Easy24/7 Steam Group to stay informed if they change which content they're using.
@correca Feel free to post links in this thread, to any content you want to use along PCH.

I love almost everything that the Kunos team have created... although being able to show clickable links to required content, before you join a server is really needed. It would make using modified content online so much easier. I'm sure this been suggested already a million times...
So it must be a real coding nightmare to implement. A must have for AC2 :)

Rename your fast_lane.ai temporarily for whichever layout the server's using, so you can drive as a free roam, lots of people are doing this and it's awesome having real oncoming traffic along PCH :)

If you want to drive fast, turn on your track map... Even with it on mishaps can happen.
If you stay in the right hand lane you don't have to worry :) only overtake where you can see far enough

There are a ton of really cool drivers on my track, and that makes all this work feel even more worthwhile.
I also really like it that if you leave in a convoy, and anyone spins out or goes offroad most people will wait :)

Hopefully see you along the coast one day soon :)

No, for those of us of a certain age that's totally normal. :D

But I'm betting (based on what I see in the downloads section) that I'm probably the only one around here whose idea of a good weekend is digging up some suspension drawings on the web and seeing if I can put a car together with them.
