Help !!! I deleted all the files in the Game Mods directory and then recopied the new ones over but I keep getting this message.

Error: Bootfiles installed by another tool (e.g. JSGME) have been detected. Please uninstall all mods.

But I didn't ever use JSGME to install them only the CM Tool for AMS2 that I found on RD and so I cannot see where to uninstall those mods.

I realize I must have Fudged up by deleting both the enabled and disabled folders and another file that was there which I think had jgsm or something on the end. How can I fix it please ?

Do a Steam integrity check (Google it) to verify all game files; that solved the problem for me when I encountered the same issue ages ago.

John B. Ellis updated NAMeS: Real Drivers for AMS2 with a new update entry:

Added an alternative F-V10_Gen2 including 2001 F1 season drivers

99.9% of NAMeS aficionados will probably not need the following update:

The "Alternative NAMeS" folder now includes a F-V10_Gen2 file that includes drivers from the 2001 season. This alternative file will rectify Reiza's decision to pair 2000 season drivers with 2001 technical regulations (i.e., traction control). Given the large number of Brazilian drivers who participated in the 2001 F1 season, this hardly seems like punishment for Reiza's oversight....

Fixed any Alessandro (vs. Alex) Zanardi inconsistencies

NAMeS v4.70 fixes a couple of inconsistencies regarding Alessandro (vs. Alex) Zanardi across categories.

Naturally, F1 race programs from 1991 & 1993 list him as Alessandro Zanardi, so that is how he now appears in both F-Classic Gen4 and F-HiTech Gen2. In 1998 CART race programs, merchandise, etc., Zanardi goes by Alex, so his name stays that way in F-USA Gen2. For GTE, although BMW Group media often used the Alessandro moniker, the majority of IMSA media, and the official 2019 spotter's...

I can't get the "Names" to load... I can load other mods without any problems with CM. Could it be that I have the game in Spanish? Or what could it be?

I'm not sure what that issue could be ... I just this moment downloaded NAMeS v4.70 from this site, installed it using AMS2CM, and all the real driver names appeared as intended. Morever, NAMeS is designed to install prior to any additional custom livery sets that AMS2CM installs, so there shouldn't be any custom AI-file/livery file mismatches. Have you done a Steam integrity check and made sure to delete any older, custom livery files that might be unintentionally hanging about?

No way, I've tried but nothing... The funny thing is that some F1 seasons appear fine. Maybe I installed some manual mod names and that's hindering the installation? Surely what I should do is uninstall and reinstall the game... Well, thanks a lot for the interest! ;)

Short of a full re-install, here's what to do to eradicate any niggling .xml files that are messing things up:

1). Deactivate any mods using AMS2CM
2). Delete your Automobilista 2\Vehicles folder
3). Delete your Automobilista2\UserData folder
4). Run a Steam Integrity Check (i.e., "Verify integrity of game files") to let Steam reinstall the deleted folders.
5). Activate any mods (including NAMeS) using AMD2CM.

Here's a further step, technically unrelated to this issue, but one that I employ regularly during Beta cycles:

6). Delete your Documents\Automobilista 2 folder

Essentially, I start with a brand new Documents\Automobilista 2 folder after every Beta update. I know all my settings by heart at this point and can create a new AMS2 profile in under 5 minutes. I can't tell you the number of minor differences that creep in between builds--ones that I initially thought were an issue--that simply disappear after deleting an old AMS2 profile created during a previous build. AMS2 is weird that way, but it's a 100% fixable issue on the user's end.

FWIW, I added a "Troubleshooting" section to the Overview page restating these guidelines. Thanks for the feedback!

Done, although I haven't deleted the documents file (I'm not as clear about my configuration as you are), and I had to add the manually installed livreas mods... Great, everything works. Thanks a lot!!

Hi. Thanks for these files. Just a very small thing, in your SuperV8 file, you have Will Davison as Will Davidson. Great work, BTW. I have changed it in my file, just thought I'd mention it, as I am an Aussie. :)

With the increased number of high-end road/track day cars in AMS2, I thought I would elicit a bit of feedback regarding who to recruit to drive the Supercars and Hypercars in AMS2. Here are the two options:

Hit "Like" for - Real Owners of Hypercars and Supercars (what is currently in NAMeS)

Hit "Love" for - Real Race Drivers of race version of same Car or Marque (to replace the Real Owners)

If I get a clear enough response soon, I ought to be able to make the winner the default choice in the mod when V1.6 drops.

I don't understand if this mod:
1) just replace the names, and AI stats are the stock one.
2) replace the names and (without adding stats in the .xml files) all drivers are the same as performance.

Furthermore, if the 1) is the right one, I'd like to know if stock AI are randomized (just like old PC2) or are balanced. So, I'd like to know if it is needed to edit the AI after replacing names to create realistic driver performance or not needed because Reizas do it properly. Thanks.

Right, realised I was on the wrong resource thread, sorry about that. Done a fresh Install.
Frank Biela is in both the #14 Audi (red) and the #34 BMW (silver and blue).
I'll just change it on my side, but it might be an existing issue with the install and not just a me thing.

You're right! Thanks for spotting that. Uploading a fix soon....
