Welcome to the RD Racing Club.

Bridgehampton near New York is a historic 1950s circuit that was closed permanently in 1999.
It was known as a terrifying course, requiring the utmost of driving skill.

A nice aspect of this mod is that it has 'natural' track limits due to the sand next to the black stuff. It will slow you down considerably if you hit it with a wheel. Clean driving is therefore extra important on this circuit.
So if are you in for a real challenge, sign up and start practicing!

It's a multiclass and for some more excitement and action we bend the rules a bit: BLUE FLAGS CAN BE IGNORED IF THE LAPPING CAR IS FROM A DIFFERENT CLASS!

So join us for another exciting race and:

Sign up here (Password: same as last week, otherwise post in this thread and I will send you a PM with it.):

It's important that you also join us during the event on Discord for additional information and instructions. Link is below.

Especially the new and inexperienced drivers are recommended to participate. There are a lot of learning opportunities but without the intensity and stress of the GT3/4 cars or the endurance multiclass cars. It's also good step up for those kind of events.

I'm keen as I really like the high speed nature of this track. Unfortunately my computer seems to have caught a bug... I have no shifting once I join an online server.

The shifting works fine offline and the other controls work fine online. I've tried using automatic shifting, turning it on and off again, rebinding the controls etc... andd nothing has fixed it. Very odd. Has anyone encountered something like this before? Any bright ideas on how to trouble shoot? Any help or advice welcome.

[I appreciate this is not technically the right place for this but you guys are often very knowledgable about this stuff!]

My computer caught your cold!

Kidding :p, but I just tried to join the MX5 server and my shifting isn't working either. Tried out the other 2 racedepartment servers and the shifting on the liger f1 wasn't working either, but GT3 was shifting fine. Also worked fine on a public server.

So it might just be something up with those two servers and not your computer?

Maybe they just need a restarts @HF2000 ?

I'm sure @RasmusP has some ideas though. He always seems to be able to fill in some blanks I can't :geek:

Both servers were stuck in overtime. That happens now and then with the old servers. I've restarted them. @davejevons should be OK now.

Thanks all! That’s reassuring. It had dawned on me overnight I should also try a non-RD server. See you Wednesday.
If you ever encounter that again, check the session clock in the top center of the screen. Or in the pit menu on one of the tabs on the left. It'll show 00:00 or overtime.
Somehow nobody ever notices that the first time and thinks something is broken (myself included as mentioned :whistling:)
