Modding Questions Thread

Does anyone know how can I skin the costume of the racer while in f1 cockpit ( driving ) ? I only manage the one when you're on the winning cutscene.

I found this once, I'll have a search through my game files. Which ones did you edit for those cutscenes? I gave up looking for the cutscene ones after a while

Thanks in advance

Hi again,

Can i put the neutral "N" and rear "R" not in shifter? I have problems when go the gears down, and sometimes the car is in neutral or worst, in R gear.

Than you guys

1) You download Rader's PSSG Editor from HERE
2) You'll need Nvidia DDS plugin for Photoshop (HERE)
3) Download the helmet model, which I can't find the link for atm (you can use the 2012 model too if you find it)
4) Open PS (with the dds plugin already installed), and open a little texture in the layers tab (which I don't know the name of atm too)
5) Paint on the "layer - copy" layer
Tip-Look back at the 3D helmet model constantly to see your progress
6) When done painting, save the "little texture" as a dds file
7) Go to your Steam directory/SteamApps/common/F1 2013/characters/bespokehelmets (maybe I messed up the directory, I am on a vacation atm, I can't see it myself), and open file gen_01_high.pssg using the pssg editor. Import the dds file, and save. Do the same with gen_01_low.pssg
8) In your game, select helmet number 1 (though you won't see your helmet in the menu, but you will in the game)

I hope this helps a bit, atm I can't tell you much stuff, sorry

Im trying this out as well - i havent found the helmet MODEL .. so i cannot see my work in photoshop in 3D - though i have the DDS plugin. How then?

Did you even bother typing in the search bar?
haha i actually didnt use the searh bar, well for that one thing only. Everything else on this subject i did use it for. Reason - the one dude YOU also took advice from couldnt find the lINK (lol on his behalf then ;)) - so i figured since the clever guy cant find it it properly not even in the forum ... see what i mean?

Well anyway - ive downloaded more than 10 different uploads of PSD all called extended, but none of them are. So would be able to use the models much anyway until i find this apparently mysterious extended version of photoshop :D

Hi guys...I'd wanna know if there is a way to reduce downforce because (I don't know why) my 2014 mod by Luna gives me the same lap times as 2013 season.. How can I fix this problem??
I tried to modify database settings but nothing...

Could someone recommend 5 of the best mods with the links please, thanks a load
Simply go to the downloads section and see what's been downloaded the most.

Peoples opinion on what might be a good mod will differ greatly.....but the download section will give you a better clue.

Hey i haven'y been here for a while.
Anyway ... lately i have been messing around with F1 2013 game files and GRID 2. And i was wondering what files in F1 2013 predict what model shall the texture be applied too ?
For example i want to replace F1 car with GRID2 car ... how would i achieve this ?
If it is even possible , tho i have my reasons of thinking it being possible since both of these games run on the same game engine.
Thanks in advance for any answers :p
