Modding Questions Thread

i think it's an normal grey like last years car :)
Maybe it looks chrome because of the lighting area around it. Then I will just go for a normal paint effect. Also I wrote this question in the wrong thread. I wanted to write it to the f1 2013 game question thread. But I posted this there too.

well Lights can destroy even a human eye :D well i think it will be look better with an normal grey instead of an chrome paint ,we have Merc and MC already ingame so it would be cool to see an "normal" grey :D

I thought to at first glance. But I still don't know whether it's paint or mercedes type half chrome. But I guess it goes closer to mercedes's color.
I don't want to see codemasters's mercedes color, because it looks soooo UGLY, that's why I asked for a bit more chrome ;)

I wasn't asking about the white part of the car. I was asking the grey part. But I guess it's just a simple paint effect? I'm not really good at deciding the color effects lol.
Hm, my eyes can see grey on this picture, too ... and the influence the lights have and ... w/e then don't look at it.

Hello guys, Has someone found a way to increase or decrease each driver or car speed ? Virtual perf doesn't seem to do anything with the classic cars and this is f*in annoying me :)
thx

Can't check now, but if the DB entries for rule tickets haven't completely changed since 2012, then you can only edit the values for each scenario for the penalty modes.
Means, you could lower the value for slow instant loss (huge crash) or cumulative loss (blocking) or so. But it works for AI and player, you can't set it separately.

If the values are for both ai and player then the ai should already be getting the same penalties i get. I have had many 100% races now and seen 0 penalties for ai. They just dont exist. Very poor from codemasters

ai_driver?
ai driver refers to different rows which include several columns which include the "Virtual Performance" one.. but changing the number doesn't seem to change anything..
All my classic drivers have a "ai driver" id assigned. When i change the virtual performance of any of those from 1 to 0,1, their speed doesn't change at all..

virt. perf. has always been more or less a mysthical value. Changes did result in nothing.
Aggression [affects also braking], speed_in [corner] and speed_out [corner] (didn't check 2013 database yet, though but I remember from 2012) have been values which had immediate results.
The higher, the faster. Though 1 at speed_in may result in a crash into a slower car.

Hey guys,
is there any way to change the sound of the third person 1988 Lotus 100 T to the onboard?
I tried something, but it doesn't work. Maybe someone has an advice.
And why do I want the third person sound as the onboard? -because the third person sound is amazing! :D
Thanks in advance:)

Nothing seems to be changing with... FUUUUCK YOU CM !!!! I really don't understand how it works... because classic cars are in the same "tier" but doesn't have the same pace.. In my mod the two c01 cars are 8 seconds slower than any other car... (8 secondes per lap...)
