Modding Questions Thread

Hello there !
I am a very big fan of the classic mode on f1 2013 ... and i am curious if its possible to have a mod that makes a full grid of v10 cars (for example on basis of the 1999 season) with the old skins from the original cars.

Does any mode exist ? Or do you think its possilble to create a mod like this ?

Greets from Germany :)

1999 cars are DLC and they are encrypted. so it's impossible to make a mod with '99 cars. (i think. CMIIW)

i copied all the sky files and night and lighting files from the abu dhabi folder to bahrain folder but when the sun sets, there is no lights , its dark, can anyone help me, maybe i did not copy a specific file?? thanks

The Season isnt that important to me .. its more about the idea to change every actual car to a classic car... for example Ferrari F138 will be changed to a mod of the Ferrari F399 and so on . It would be a huge thing to change everything, but the result would be great ! :)

I'm making a 1992 mod

I have a question. I downloaded a mod which adds the HUD into the cockpit cam, but it seems like it has also changed not only the cockpit cam, but also the t-cam... I prefer the normal t-cam though. I use both actually. If anybody knows how to get the standard t-cam back, with the HUD on the cockpit cam still added, it would be highly appreciated.

Don't know. I had the same issue, but now I got an ULTIMATE Cam pack

I also had that, but didn't really like the head movement :( Would it be possible for you to check the cameras.xml file, and see what line adds the HUD... Then I could use the backups that I made, and add the HUD myself, and keep all the other original cameras. I hope this is possible! :thumbsup:

Not me, I know nothing about cameras. :(

How to make the drivers variation bigger/smaller in a particular race? (ex. I want to make Chilton be 22nd in Australia, and 1st in Malaysia) What do I change? Is it ai_performance_variation in database?

Open cameras xml and go in:
<Parameter name="fov" type="scalar" value="?????" />increase or decrease this number.
Which view controls the cockpit cam? I went and saw that there are a lot of them. There's something like this:
<View type="Chase" ident="chase_close" reverseCamera="chase_close_reverse" hidden="false" spectator="false" useInSplitScreen="false" renderParticlesBeforeGrass="false" transitionType="switch" transitionSpeed="0.4000" transitionStrength="-0.1000">
Which view type is the one for the cockpit cam? Because this one for example isn't it. This once says chase, meaning the chase cam...

In my t-cam mod I change the values in <View type="Mounted" ident="bonnet_ss"
<Parameter name="pitch" type="scalar" value="???????" />
<Parameter name="offset" type="vector3" x="???????" y="???????" z="???????" />
<Parameter name="fov" type="scalar" value="???????" />
