Modding Questions Thread

Quick question: Will changing the names of drivers/teams via modding result in my career mode progress being corrupted? I would probably do this multiple times throughout my career, so is the risk increased?

Thanks

I'm currently on database part for 1997 mod.

So i want to know what i can do and what i cant do

- Add new Engine name Inside database
- Change value of drivers
- Change value of team (i know i can for tier's but all other dont know)

A nice easy question for the experts out there.
I am adjusting the A.I. speed for the hard column in the database under "track_difficulties" I am reducing the speed of the PRO difficulty but just wondered if that would also slow down A.I. Qualifying in line with it?
Thanks.

Does anyone know how to move the race engineer pit wall thing to match with team garages?

Coz at the moment I've got all my garages in the 2013 order, but I've still got the engineers on the other side of the pit lane in the original spot.

So because Ferrari and Mclaren switched places in the constructors, Mclaren is now the 3rd and Ferrari the 2nd. Yet on the pitwall Ive got Mclaren guys sitting in the Ferrari box and Ferrari guys sitting in the Mclaren box.

Any clues? I'm thinking its something in the database, but I can't find where.
It interests me too ! Does somebody have a solution? Thanks:)

So i downloaded ML's KB team mod, and i want to replace force india with it, which files do i need to rename?
This team was made for the toro rosso, so you most take all the files from "cars/tr2" and "interiors/tr2" folders, copy and paste them in the respective "fc2" folders (rename the files, tr2 to fc2)
Take the files of this monster energy team, and rename them to fc2, forceindia,..... (tr2, tororosso, etc).
You need all the toro rosso team files and rename them for force india (yes, all of them)
Try it! (i change this team to replace it for the mclaren team ;) )
:roflmao:

Yes it will. Those values essentially determine how fast the cars are able to go around each track.
You'll see the values for medium and easy are proportionally lower that pro and legend. And if you qualify at each of those difficulty levels, you'll see the cars will lap at different rates.

I've found modifying those values gives you the most dramatic effects of dialing in the game to your ability at each track.
