Michael Schumacher

erm no, and i didn`t post any personal remarks about you or your contry so don`t do that to me OK!!!!!!!!!!!

Get over yourself Nigel it was a joke hence the smiley at the end. You posted some sweeping generalisations about Schumacher so are you going to try and be more objective or do you take your lead from 'The Sun'

I said 3.

The talent is there and the physical condition possibly (as fit as before?) but he hasn't practiced much with F1 since his first retirement.

Besides, cars may be very close to one another this year and I'm not sure anyone will be able to win 6, 7 or 8 races...

He'll be lucky to win 1,
A: He's to old now,
B: He's already been whooped in 05 and 06 by a better driver.
C: His team mate now is actually on of the quickest guys in F1 and won't roll over for him like past team mates.
D: Lewis Hamilton's around now.

I think mercedes GP will get more wins from Nico rosberg but i think then they'll only notch up 3 at the most.

Shorter than expected, seven times F1 world champion Michael Schumacher completed his test today in Jerez. Due to the bad weather in Spain his GP2 test ended early.

The German making his comeback for Mercedes GP after being retired since 2006 commented: "I felt comfortable out on the track from the very beginning, and naturally I'd like to thank our team and the GP2 series very much for the opportunity to drive."

After 52 laps his test ended when the rain kicked in. The test itself was considered very successful as he had the chance to gain back the racing feeling you need to drive in the premiere of motorsport. Also this was the final check of his physical condition and most of all, gave Schumacher time to get used to his new team of engineers.

Some first impressions:

  • Adrian Kinsella

I don't know if he'll be fighting for the championship this year, but I will be fighting to keep my lunch down on Sundays if he goes with that orange helmet and silver suit look.:boohoo:

Hes been testing 3 days in a row in Jerez, and driven almost 1200km. 130 laps was done today alone, and he seems to have found the old speed. Fastest lap was 1.24,621 which is 0,036 from the GP2 track record.

Schuminator is comming back :p

Amen to that....

41 isn't that old when you think about it, plus older drivers have won races and championships in the past.
B: He's already been whooped in 05 and 06 by a better driver.
2005, the Renault was the class of the field; 2006, I wouldn't say whooped... he only missed out on the title due to bad luck, and was more or less consistent with Alonso all season. Not doubting Alonso's talent, mind you...
C: His team mate now is actually on of the quickest guys in F1 and won't roll over for him like past team mates.
Rosberg, one of the quickest? He does show flashes of brilliance, but Schumacher's always been consistently fast.
D: Lewis Hamilton's around now.
Would that make a difference? They're both equally skilled, plus Mercedes (nee Brawn) started work on their 2010 car last season... I don't reckon Hamilton or McLaren will be able to catch up (at least at the start of the season), despite Lewis' tenacity.

Of course, I'm not saying that Schumi will blitz 2010... I'm just saying that you shouldn't discount him just yet. We never know...
