I'm using my real name Marc Good at iRacing. Feel free to add me to your friends list as I got all RD members added.

Looking forward to see you in a Skip or Star Mazda race! :)

edit: Just these days the splitting of the fields has been changed so the friend-factor won't help anymore to get together in races..

Had an awesome race yesterday. Started first and kept it there up to lap 10, when I got a network error (new router has some issues somehow) but I was still in the server sitting on the side of the track for about 20 seconds while my screen froze and went black. When my visuals were back I continued and rejoined track in 8th and 20 seconds behind on P1. From then on I pushed like hell and passed one by one and was up to P2 with 2 laps to go. I did my fastest lap on the penultimate lap but P1 was just too far ahead, almost got him just needed one more lap :)

Sounds awesome Sander, Silverstone seems like an awesome track to race at. Sebring Modified in the skips was awesome so far,and definitely one of the best tracks I've raced at so far. Jefferson in the skips this week is not my favorite, the track just isn't too fun for me to race on. I'm going to be buying VIR today though so I'll have some time to practice over the weekend on it, I'm hoping it's as fun to race as Sebring is.

I'm still on a D license right now so it will be a while before I'm racing the radicals even though I own the car thanks to the free month. How long are the radical races usually? 30-35 minutes is nice for the skip, but I'm excited to get in some longer races.

Radical races are about 50 minutes, not too short, not too long :)

It's on now James!

Woot, Won my first big field Skip Barber race at Summit Jefferson :)
And did some oval wins in the Legends too.... finally some nice scoring points.
Still very hard to drive/concentrate.

I tried the Mazda yesterday at Silverstone, but I was 5 seconds off the pace. Mostly because I could not get the steeringlock to my likings. Had to drive within 4 cm of wheel movement. Anyone tips?

Put the wheel at 900 degrees in the profiler then calibrate in game and the software will give you as much rotation as the real car has, the steering lock is fixed as it would be in real life except for a few of the oval cars.

Tried but not helped. If I choose my preferred 300 or 900, the ingame calibrations will set it indeed to reallife and a bit too twisty for me.
But I found another thing, tried the basic iRacing setup and improved 2 seconds on Silverstone GP (with a very bad lap). 2 more seconds to find, but at least I know the setup was part of my problem.

Now learning this bloody track (and the others too)

Try the advanced setup but put the rear anti roll on soft :)
