i got it, tried it, loved it then left because the content was to limited for my taste. i joined for the grand am cars which they haven't added yet so i canceled my subscription and is currently waiting for allot more content before i rejoin.
No chance to try. I can't stand to pay monthly for a game (i'm not a warcraft addict player).
I can't stand too to pay for tracks, vehicles and others things.
1. The pricing is rediculous
2. There is no demo to try the game
3. Just to try the game you have to pay $20USD
4. GTR Evo + Race 07 is only $29.99 USD and it has MUCH more content than iRacing
5. They charge for extra cars and tracks ($25 USD just for Sebring!!!!!!!)
6. I'm already tied up in 3 leagues (hopefully I will soon be joining the racing club here too)
Hi guys.
My vote is a big NO.
I try iracing, and he price is very high, and even more if we bear in mind what iracing gives us.
Without variable weather, without pits, without flags, without ANYTHING.
Only a point of view.
Cheers.
Mainly, the costs are way too high. The idea of a pay to play sim was shocking. Pay to play only really works in RPGs. I don't understand why they ask for so much. They could just raise the cost of the product itself, and cut monthly charges. Because the monthly charges on top of paying for tracks and cars ($15-$20!!) is outrageous. This is a cruel way of filtering out rammers. I hope they come to realise these issues, and support the little man. Other than all this, its is a good sim, although I can't see any real differences, the graphics are rFactor style, and there are too many American tracks (like, there are only 1 or 2 outside of America). The main complaint is you can't have fun with it. If you push hard, and you touch, not hit a wall or anything, touch the grass, and you get a Safety Rating penalty
I really like iracing but it is extremely expensive. I'm building my rankings up from rookie hoping to get to a 4.0 safety rating to go late models and i'm getting close, great. Now I go to see the latemodels and realize that if I wanted to go that route I'd have to buy the car for 15$ and then the series runs 6 different tracks of which I only own one of. So that means 75$ worth of tracks and 15$ for the car just to participate.. then I need to pay the monthly fee. All of this with no yellow flags or pitting.
Great game but man, they need to stop gouging the sim racer.
