Still wreckers?

Yesterday I was trying to do some qualify on LimeRock.

I was wrecked 4 times while I was off the racing line to let others pass.
I tried to drive the rest of the minutes as safe as possible to safe my rating, but not enough time... Thanks to the wreckers I am again down on the rating.

So its not a guarantee for safe racing this SR stuff!

I think there always be people like you describe. It was a common problem in Codemasters ToCa/DTM series which had somekind of ELO rating system. Once you had a great rating there were always people that tried to punt you off so you would drop dramaticly.
Sad to hear this happens in a game where at the moment only invitees are allowed. Nice friends some betatesters must have :S

You can if beeing wrecked intentionally request an official to review what happened. Just write down the playername who wrecked you and post it officially on the iRacing forums for a check. I´m pretty sure you get somewhere with it :)

'Safe Racing' is an illusion i fear. There is no way for sure to guarentee it as even the most careful and controlled driver will occassionally misjudge things. It's one of those things that just happens.

After a race the other night where people were being over careful, i would even say the Safety rating is increasing the chance of accidents not reducing it.

Maybe going to cancel my account temporarily

I will propably cancel my account at the end of the trial subscription period end of July The reason is that i´m not satisfied with the current ingame content and the costs of additional tracks and cars. Also i´m tired of those 40 lappers sprintraces with the Legends. I´ll consider to join iRacing again when it supports longer races with Full Flag Rules, Pitstop Strategies etc. etc. etc. This sounds negative but it isn´t. It´s just a personal feel. I´m not a big lover of sprintraces anyway. iRacing is a great platform but lags of features i´m looking for in its current stage.

Sorry to se you go.

But I understand your reasons there is a lack of features that are really needed for running ovals, but hopefully these will be added in the future and it might draw you back in.

You could race with us roadies until they arrive :)

Well Ricky. It´s not missing only with Oval Racing it´s missing in general. Road Courses don´t use Flag Rules either. But that´s not my main concern about iRacing. I should state that iRacing isn´t yet officially launched to the public so maybe iRacing LLC. will propably add more features until they open the doors to the general public but as for myself I have seen enough for my taste and i´ll stick with other simracing titles like ASR, Race07 and what not :)

And Sprint Races are really not what i´m aiming for. I don´t know what iRacing will add in the future, if they extend their services to support League Events or to make it possible for League Admins to open up own rooms and conditions to their liking. Unfortunately iRacing seems not to be the platform for League Racers but more for the people who just don´t have the time for long races and League attendences and therefore I think iRacing will stick with the current racing schedule model.

Sad to here about the wreckers experience. Me for once i am thrilled about being able to race so cleanly with people whom i do not know.

I have a problem with qualifier thou. If you for some odd reason choose to go around at 90KM/H why don't people drive with an eye in the mirror and think? Why do they stay in the middle... That makes me mad! :) And i can be mad. I huff and puff and ...

Well, so far, the overall experience is less wreckers. And many great races. (For my part).
