GTR 2

It's definitely tricky. We've considered the option of not watching it at all many times already. The big problem remains that the games do not consequently handle the issue, which results in a very unrealistic placement of the boundaries. Therefore we have created them oursleves. Now you always know what you can expect and you have to drive realistic lines on the track.

We do not go about tiny little cuts, we go about significant chunks, so don't worry too much about the subject.

bugger i got struck by my sudden drop in FPS bug again, i had even lowered all my settings so to get a good in game frame rate. but after about 30 mins suddenly my FPS drops to 5, it did the same at the Hock :(

also odd when i was on the grid i only had 5 FPS even with only a few cars on grid, but just as i was going to ESC it jumped to 30FPS, which isen`t bad for a full grid, just pi##ed off it does it mid race :( :(

wuaw
can't believe i survived Spa in rain with hard tires.....
a 7th place at the end with a big spin for me at the beginning of the race....had to fight all the time...only problem was that everytime i try to go fast, i end up screwing my pace somewhere....
but i had oooh so many moments with Eau....i thought i would not make it

grats Ramon on your big win ;)
if not mistaken it's been 4 races with 4 different winners....nice for the league

drove like a maniac from start to finish. no easing up on anypoint cause
Tom was there racing with me from lap 3-4 or sometin to hte finish.
started race 12-13 spot? didnt get quali done at all. mainly cause dont really
have setups on these thingies, nor time to test out so its hard everytime.
anyhow, ty Tom very much, was a pleasure. on few spots i was faster,
on few you were, specially couple of braking points in wich someone else
would have probably bombed in and got both of us out.
respects earned.

Yeah....grats to Ramon on the win...

Am a bit annoyed tbh, cant believe my pedals let me down AGAIN!! So soz if I caused anyone any issues, me just stopped on the side of the road after Les Combes. Took me about 25 seconds to fix the problem!! So there went my 2nd place......gutted.

Thanks for the back markers moving over...had one moment in the closing laps, when 2 - 5th place were very close and we came accross 2 guys fighting for position. Thanks for moving over for me, but could see I was screwing up your battle, so thats why I backed off to let you back pass, as my tyres were screwed and was struggling to stay with Mark at the time I think.....btw, great job, pitting and still got 2nd!!

Qualify:
I was desperate trying to get a good lap, but could not break the 2.33 limit. I discovered a bug that the setup was not held in memory after switching from pract to qual. Maybe has to do with rain and switching to default rain setup from the game. So I was beginning with a default GTR2 setup lol.
After loading my own setup with Soft Wet tires I was flying at 2.29.x which was good for 3rd place on the grid.

Race:
I expected Luis to take of and fly home with those fast laptimes, but after a long time I was still within the 10 sec of him. Early in the Race Mark was already very hard fighting to pass me. To prevent a risk of both flying off I let him pass and could drive the same pace. Then a few tiny mistakes caused some more distance.
Before halfway I saw Roy Carless who made a mistake. Then Mark was going into the pits. I though he had some damage, but in fact he was doing a normal pitstop.
I was hoping the soft wet could last a race lenght so I continues.

Till at one point Luis was in the middle of eau rouge with a wrecked car. With some coolness I could slow down a bit and avoid a heavy crash. I guess he was searching for the Esc button :) lol.
Could not believe to drive 1st at that moment, and was trying to concentrate hard to make no mistakes. The fuel was enough for the entire race, the tires were worn in the end and my laptimes dropped to 2/3 seconds from my PB. Still had enough gap for a comfortable lead of 30+ seconds.

Excellent racing and have to thank the backmarkers much for letting me pass. Fantastic mirroring guys! my compliments.

See you in Dubai.

PS. If Mark was not doing his pitstop I am sure he was winning the race. He was the fastest on track during the race. Still, there is more than just being fast

Had a rather lonely race, I started last because I wasn't comfortable in the wet.

In the race the car felt good suddenly, and quite a few people were really struggling with the conditions, maybe using hard tyres. I was on softs, I made it to 3 minutes to go before the tank had nothing left and had to pit, a small mistake in my calculations cost me a 9th place, instead I got 11th.

Also, thanks to Hansi for waiting after giving me a nudge exiting Les Combes. Much appreciated :) I wasn't expecting you to try and come back up the inside so stayed on the inside trying to get a run at the next corner.

Congrats Ramon:thumb:

My race was just trying not to risk too much, I just took it easy all the way, my normal race laps would have been 0.5 secs faster, but why take the risk. I wasn't gonna stop so I was trying to same my tires. it was on lap 17 or 19 when all of the sudden going through eau rouge I get disconnected, this is the second time this has happened to me, and I have to say its getting really frustrating. Could this be because I was one of the last guys to enter the server?

but anyway congrats to the podium:thumb:, but also to all the guys that managed to finish the race.:thumb::thumb:
