A message to all Drivers

If you run off track, you must check to see that its clear before you re enter the track. Do not just keep the throttle pinned and pull back on track.
On re-entering the track stay off the racing line until you are up to race speed and do not block any fast approaching car.

Always try to re-enter the track parallel to the racing line.

When joining the track from the pits, remain inside the white line and stay off the racing line until you are up to speed.

During qualification, do not race on your out lap, let other drivers by.

Golden Rule
  1. If you hit somebody, sending them off the track and carry on like nothing happened, you take the risk of being banned for 30 days.
  2. Instead, you should always wait for the affected drivers, and that way you can be 100% sure you will not get a ban.
Track limits
  1. No more than 2 wheels over the white/yellow line without a lift of the gas please.
You will be penalized if you break our rules
Note: Please use your full real name in Discord. Not doing so may result in you being kicked from the server if an admin cannot identify you as a premium member.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • General video guide to multiclass racing - Click here
  • It is the responsibility of faster cars to safely overtake slower cars. When a faster car is overtaking a slower car (a car in a different class), whether a blue flag is being shown to the slower car or not, the slower car should be predictable and remain on the racing line. The faster car should execute the overtake only when it is safe to do so.
  • If a faster car is lapping another car in the same class, the normal gentleman's rule applies; some cooperation may be required to facilitate the overtake, usually a slight lift at the start of a straight. Please be sensible.
  • Separate qualification runs will happen for GT3 and GT4 classes. First 10 minutes for GT3, second 10 minutes for GT4. GT4 cars must not exit the pits before 10 minutes have elapsed. GT3 must not start a lap after 10 minutes have elapsed. You may be kicked from the server by race control if you ignore this rule.
  • All other Racing Club Rules still apply to this event.
  • Discord is highly recommended for all club races.

This track needs some updates asap. Track limits are not enforced on many parts of the tracks. And some barriers are not solid. Other than that its a nice drive :D

Have you tested that barrier with a spin!? I guess you are just reffering to the review?

We race on tracks with these 3 issues all the time. On the old sebring I got stuck in the barrier left hand side after turn 1, in practice. Just had to make sure not to go off again. Indianapolis on le mans there is a ticket to the shadow realm... We could go on for a while!

I think the guys got on alright there last night. That said I will check it out properly tonight and post here what I find, so at least folks know the story.

I'm in. Not keen on the circuit yet, it might grow on me, but will be there in the Ginetta this time. Thanks Brian for organising, looking forward to getting the championship circuit schedule! Figure its good to get some more GT4 practice in for that.

I went through the wall in Tower Turn. It is a fun track. Just wanted to mention it that it is something to keep in mind.

Just a note to Brian @Interslice
Tried the Ferrari here, needs a load of work to make it stable, I have only just scratched the surface with the setup.
But, what a fantastic car it is to drive around here, miles better than anything I have driven here before.
You can tell me I am wrong, it has two Achilles heals, well perhaps not so much with the engine, sounds great by the way, you have to get the gearing spot on to get the best from it.
The McLaren, you just rev the nuts off it.
Second, the wing, reminds me of the Porsche, you , or should I say I, need a lot of wing, I am at 4.
It is so unstable with less. There is about another second in this car for me, but every change needs a host of other tweaks to get the performance from the change you made. Wing being the best example.
I don’t know what is like with tyres, have not looked at that, but seemed okay on its softs.

Sorry about the waffle, bored?

Havn't tried it or any GT3 around here yet but i reckon the ferrari would have really struggled on the old track with the bumps. New track it could be really nice.... The last corner on softs however could be a nightmare.

For me it's limited by the tyres. That second you are on about is always there, but closing it and not getting sloppy and cooking the tyres or, hitting an outside kerb of death is the hard bit.

0-3 wing is barely viable for a qualy/hotlapper mode on monza. 1-4 or 0-4 are the minimum really. Tried for an hour to get through eau rouge on 3 rear wing before. Didn't make it once! Monza is the same trying to exit ascari. Not as bad but will get you eventually!

It's hard to get perfect gearing for every corner and the launch. You need to make sacrifices somewhere. At laguna i let it wind through third into turn 2 for example. If you make third longer there it will be too flat up the hill from turn 4. Fuel load can mess with your gears too.

Coming up on 20k km in the car now :) Alot of waffle in that!

I think you have summed up my thoughts perfectly, to sum up, what you have said, wing 3, I am quicker, but wing 4 I can do many laps comfortably, slower.
Cannot comment on tyres, I did 5 or six laps trouble-free, not exactly 30 minutes of laps is it?:)

Hard to know if that 5 laps will cover you for the race on the softs. It will depend if you go chasing someone! On mediums it gives you a good idea outside of the last couple of laps.
