Not related, but here is some information on the mod pack @ release:

Q: I have a question about the high resolution pack for pc. And please forgive me if it has already been answered, but I couldn't find it.

Will it make any noticeable visual difference using a 1920x1080 monitor or is it more for people with 2560x1440 and higher resolution monitors?

I'm not worried about the performance hit with 2 GTX780 cards in SLI, just curious as to what resolution is needed to see an actual difference.

A: You'll notice the difference. The liveries on the cars will be a lot smoother, especially around any text or numbers.

It's pretty apparent that if you go to about 47:45 of this video, you will see all of the on-line options, livery options, and car purchase options.

That said, it's apparent that a new car is going to be quite expensive, as the guy had been through about 8-10 races and earned $4,500 in game cash, whereas a new Cat B Touring car cost $450,000. Granted, If you bought a used Cat A it would be less, but still probably double digits and maybe around $45,000. Upgrades don't look too expensive though.

Also, I'm not sure the livery editor allows you to put your own logo on the cars, although the guy in the video talks about "putting his own" club logo on the car, so maybe there is a way to import them. If not, we can just do the best with what we have.

If indeed the cost is prohibitive, then we may have to scrap the car purchase idea (unless the way we play is so much more difficult that we get much more cash than this guy did). This would be too bad, since we would have to race cars with no number and a solid paint scheme. Also, we can't have the ability to really fine tune our cars without owning them. But we shall see. I'll be sure to put the cheapest cars in the first two races. Probably the Mini Cooper.

Worst case, we could put a few races at the end of the season where we all buy the same car, customize it, and challenge another club or clubs to a few races. That would be fun.

New gold copy gameplay from the beautiful Red Bull Ring in the A1GP open wheel machine. Laps at about 1:15 or so. Very tight it appears.
I forgot we were getting this track in the game, that's great  it looks superb, especially after just watching the race there this weekend xxx

Not sure what I think of these split screen videos, bit distracting tbh, you can't watch both at once anyway :/

We need a race Director and Maybe a steward for the PS3. I have the template for the touring car all laid out, with the rules. You would not need to modify them significantly unless you wanted to run different tracks, etc.

I have created our own Touring Club: RACE DEPARTMNT X
Club Tag: [RDX]

Be sure to join up if you intend to run this series, as we may be able to share cars and money, but at the very least, out XP will grow as we race, and be tracked in all sorts of fabulous statistical minutiae. We can challenge any other club to a Club vs. Club Race.

Railer, there is a way t create a livery and upload it through the game but we will have to work on that tomorrow.

Go here: https://racenet.codemasters.com/grid-autosport/club/87/race-departmnt-x

Entirely understand and in fact prefer to see the whole logo. It's our brand, after all. I'll communicate this with @Railer Cantrell and make sure that any car liveries that we race with as a RD club have the logo (and any tag line, such as "Touring League") that you just linked. Thanks.

Oh one more thing. I created a "club" in the Codemasters Race Net area, as you can see. But I could not use the full name (an "e" got left out of "department") and get an "X" in there too (my thinking was that other platforms may want to create a club too and I should not monopolize the RD name for one platform. Is this ok?

Reputable I assume? I've never used that site. Good find if so.

I bought it a good few weeks ago from this site after @Marc Beswick pointed it out to me, Then again good old Marc mentioned to me that we now get the upgrade to the Black edition for free..
i got mine a little cheaper and got a free upgrade to the black edition..
Winner winner :roflmao::roflmao:

Ive never bought from them before but it should be ok, Paypal has my back;)
