Been away for a few days so only just had a chance to catch; even though I don't compete I drop in every now and again.
Have to say everytime I drop by this thread and see the annual season lunacy/debate/argument/nonsense I end up cringing a little more to think of what's being done to my (second) child. To be quite honest I've no idea how this series seems to end up in this position every season. I mean let's be frank it's essentially the exact same formula as the F1 series, which has created lots of other series which also use the same formula, yet it's only the GPTCC which seems to go tits up every twenty minutes.
I mean when I left the series I left because I didn't particularly the direction it seemed to be going aka bizarre rules, the move away from the pride on detail, horrific amounts of bias against OMR (which for some reason seems to have gotten worse if anything from the brief look I've had, which is concerning...). But now we apparently have some rather worrying evidence of behind the scenes collusion in contrary to the democratic vote on page 19 (which is a disgusting decision if I'm understanding the situation correctly I haven't watched the incident myself) things are started to get pretty ridiculous.
To be quite honest I agree with Manolis, I think this series needs a break and long hard think of where to move forward in the future because I'm getting rather tired of seeing gaff after gaff after gaff rather than general good hearted fun the other games on this forum promote.
Also, if you're looking for independent judges (which you should by the way, having judges from those competing in the series is only going to lead to more situations like this) I'm happy to put myself forward. My knowledge of GP4 is nowhere near as detailed as Tobi's I'll admit but I've watched a few races in my time

We've got a replacement, we'll bring him in today, looking forward to it as we've been meaning to have him for a while.
Must be hard for the moderator to have been looking forward to seeing someone else win a championship, only to have chased away the main contender.

and yes I do take responsibility, but that doesn't mean I regret standing up for what I have said.
In the end, a lack of enjoyment in the series is related to how the series is run, and the arguments related to how the series was run. And that is how my logic strings together.

Here, as I said, I tried it with the 2012 mod, Release 3 at GP4 Central. Doesn't seem glitched like mine (yeah, we're moving onto this mod base for future seasons..).
Electrical on the last lap (lap 6 out of 6, as you can see):
before a certain line - pit yellow
and after that certain line - pit all of a sudden goes blank again. The problem is still there however, as indicated by the red circle, and by the table in the top left.
so it isn't BTS anymore. It is also visible how much time he lost (in comparasion to Michael), and why Joel got 4th and not 5th.

oh, and also I updated post 1 with the new regulation, clearly stating when the pitstop bug rule is used and when not.

The issue I have is that despite the result of democratic vote on page 19 voting for Harvey to be classified last and 17th, Harvey's still been given 5th place in race 2.
Now perhaps that Harvey is racing for your team is purely a coincidence but from an outsiders perspective this absolutely reeks of collusion.

that was quite a bit before the test I did. When people didn't believe it was the pitstop bug, but instead that Harvey had to be pitted otherwise a retirement would occur. I saw a lot of electricals in this mod, and all the drivers made it around more than half the circuit with their cars still running.
Harvey being my teammate in my opinion is just a coincidence. As a moderator I do feel like it was the fairest thing to do say it was a pitstop bug (as it was proven to be the pitstop bug), had it been Aidan or anyone else (but only for electrical, loose wheel, throttle and brakes, those failures don't result in an instant DNF)

I think you should just restart the season with some fresh regulations
