Do you guys went for the wet tyres in the end? At the second to last lap, I went for the wet tyres, the track look ready for it, but I had absolutely no grip with them, during the last few corners it started to be ok. How was the traction in the last lap with those that stay with the intermediate?

I think that those who stayed with the intermediate took the best decision!

What a race! I had a lot of fun!

I finished 10th, but I had two 10 seconds penalty that cost me a place in the end.
The first incident was at the first corner; It was my first race so I wanted to be super safe in the first corner. I believe I brake fairly early, the braking was fine, but as I turned in (still under braking) I still managed to hit the guy in front of me, Jeremy Sheppard. It was a little tap (bubble lag), didn't lose any of my front wing, but sadly he spins out. I don't know if he had to brake for another incident in front of him or something, because it was weird?

The other incident was with TheKartBandit. I had a different strategy than everyone, starting with prime and going for the prime again for the first pit stop. I knew many guys were faster than me and it was no need for me to defend, by defending I would have lost more time anyway. So I was prepared to let other racers pass, it wasn't a free pass, but I wasn't going to fight for it. So, during the whole race probably around 30 guys passed me (some twice because of the pit stop strategy). Everything was fine except one time in turn 1 with TheKartBandit. I am very sorry for the incident and I hope it hasn't affected is race too much. So, I was on worn tyre, lean mix and everything, I knew he was faster than me, so I really wanted to let him pass. This is why, as we arrived in turn one, I gave him the inside line, brake earlier than I normally do, but when I turned in he was already wide and I hit him. I believe TheKartBandit didn't have a great corner and the incident was inevitable, there was nothing I could have done. On many occasions I let other guys passed in that same way, but this time it didn't work.

I also had another incident, but this time I was the victim. I can't remember who it was, but I think it was with a Sauber. He tapped me from the back at turn 8, I hit the wall and lost my front wing. He made a move when I wasn't expecting it, so I believe it is partly my mistake. Knowing he was going for a move, I would have let him more room. If he had a penalty, I believe it would be fair to remove it.

I'm looking forward, to hear their perspectives (Jeremy and TheKartBandit). I let them judge if I deserve those penalties.

* Sorry if my English isn't that great, still learning it.

You have to be careful with tyre decisions on this game because it may look like it's chucking it down, calling for wet tyres, but it's actually Intermediate conditions. Most of us were on intermediates which matched the conditions although the engineer thought otherwise.

All you can do is pay attention to tyre temperature and grip (i.e. traction and cornering grip). If you're sliding through turns, it's likely time to change.

Stewards: Please review below evidence to have this in-game penalty removed

- Time period: Lap 22
- Drivers involved: myself, F1--Dragon (secondarily Dan Hemmings)
- Any and all damage incurred in the incident: Lost 6th place finish due to penalty. No other time lost
- Approximate time lost: 10 sec to overall race time only

Description: Was racing with Dan who had DRS on both straights and was approaching a slow car off to the right (much slower than should be traveling imo). I went to move left to avoid the slow car and I somehow got a penalty. At the speed I was traveling, had any of my right-side tyres made contact with the slow car I'm sure I would have been in the wall.

If this wasn't the cause for the penalty and it stemmed from the next corner incident, then this was severe lag but the penalty was issued before the corner so I would guess it came from the first or I suffered a serious lag spike.

Stewards: For your review of all those involved in the first corner incident and in connection to @Mathieu Légaré inquiry for his first corner penalty.

My assessment of the situation was severe lag. I'd need to see someone else's view in regards to Mathieu's inquiry to say otherwise. From my end it's hard to tell if the car ahead lagged into mine or if I was lag hit from behind and lag hit the car ahead but there was definitely no contact on my part. I don't recall any contact or feeling a bump prior to spinning at least it was imperceptible at the moment but the additional bump from behind finished what was started.

I find it hard to blame one party or another in this situation however I trust in your judgment in this situation. Thanks.

Your right, I didn't paid enough attention to the tyres temperature! Thanks for the tip!

Good Friday or Easter Sunday? Neither are good options. I figured some guys would have GF off or the N/A guys could join a 7pm race. The Easter Sunday thing is probably a worse alternative. Maybe we can get some reserves. We will run Brands again.

Race Report:

Sometimes, the best laid plans of mice and men....

This should have been a better result for me, but, as usual, the ones I seem to prepare most for either turn out disconnected, poorly raced, or just plain unlucky. A few things went right though: 1. Tire strategy. I only pitted twice, and never got the "red" tire wear warning. Both were perfectly times to go to wets, and then back to dry. Both dry were options. 2. Few offs, but even two can be very costly.

I made two mistakes, for which I apologize. My video was even cut short because the recorder was full. I'm not sure what happened at the start, but if someone can't load his setup, we should probably back out and rerun since there is no qualifying. Would only take a couple of seconds. Please nobody press start in the garage before the race. Also, I'm not sure what the consensus is on A.I. Seems like sometimes we run them sometimes we don't, but I'm not really particular either way. Sometimes it's nice running alone.

I hit a red car coming out of the pit. T-boned him like a champ (or chump, rather). Very sorry about that. I knew there would be a car at the turn and I was warned about same, but for some reason, I just misjudged the exit speed or I would have had to slow and wait because the other car cut the corner with no room. Either way, I think the car on track has the right of way. Hopefully there was no damage to you. I got a drive through.

Also, I hit another car in section two trying to pass. I think we talked about this afterwards. It was a close call as to who did what, but it seemed like I made a choice to go to one side and the car veered back in front of me so I clipped the rear. I probably should have waited to pass on a long straight, but it seemed safe at the time, as the other car was considerably slower. Maybe lag was involved? Got another drive through.

Probably could have challenged Peter, but he had some real bad luck too...and all things being equal, I probably ended up where I deserved. Not bad for me. I enjoyed the transition from wet to dry on this track, and actually like running wets better here.

I don't know about you guys but I didn't even experience one moment of lag that entire race. Besty and Dean are my two biggest teleporters in these races and I don't even believe there was lag on them at all. A few disconnected but I know jasper had a PSN issue and Harry mysteriously signed off with his DSC. Further comments?

You will see in my vid that I have no lag at all when I post it.

All seemed fine mate

Shows mclaren hitting rob on right hand side into t1

Myself and teammate @Rob McEwan collide at turn 1 but both decided it was a racing incident and no need for penalty. For what it's worth we would have got around turn 1 ok but rob was hit hard from behind putting him into the corner to fast.

Time lost. 10 second penalty costing a podium

Q.4th, with a 1.22.7 i think, my best was in the 21's but just couldnt hook it up. also think i blocked harry t on a hot lap he just appeared/teleported behind me?!! sorry nothing i could do about that...
R. 7th
I never have a good start to the season, so at least I'm consistent....
I got a good 2nd stage of the start closed up on besty but was eager not to hit anyone and lifted early to avoid contact, but i think I lifted too early sorry to those behind if I caused a problem. Anyway me and Ben touched on the exit curbs and I went off clipping the wall, again I think it was down to my early breaking that caused this and don't think his pen is deserved. What happened next is just embarrassing, after I tag the wall loosing a bit of wing I keep down shifting, into reverse...... And spin. F knows what I was doing.... Anyway 16th was mine.
7th from there was an achievement but didn't feel like one, had a coming together with f1dragon after passing him, he hit me off into the gravel and didn't wait, but hey...*shrugs*
Stopped 4times o p p and int for the last 2 Laps. My car felt good, Pitty I couldn't be a pain in the Williams collective ass, I think I had the pace to compete. Oh well, who selects reverse anyway?!!
Vid up later
Welldone Andy my money was on you, nice one
