Message from the Stewards

Adel will retain his 10 second penalty he received from the game, and will receive a further 2 10 second penalties for the other two incidents. We feel all incidents were his fault and were avoidable.

Mats will receive a 15 second penalty as we feel he was the catalyst for the turn 1 calamity.

We issue a serious warning to Dan for the turn 1 incident as, although we don't feel he caused anything, he didn't take enough avoiding action, resulting in a coming together with another car.

Ashley will receive a 10 second penalty for causing a collision and failing to wait. We would also like to warn Ash to take more care in the future, especially when he suspects lag to be involved.

Round 3: Chinese Grand Prix - Shanghai
Host: SJM1337

The Chinese Grand Prix is the third round of the Formula One World Championship. It is currently held at the Shanghai International Circuit, Jiading, Shanghai, designed by Hermann Tilke. When completed in 2004, it was the most expensive Formula One circuit facility, costing $240 million.

The circuit itself is 5.451 km (3.387 mi) long and features 16 corners. It features one of the trickiest corners combinations on the Formula One calendar, comparable to that of Istanbul Park's turn 8, also designed by Tilke. Turn 1 and 2 are a very demanding 270 degree, right-handed corner combination that requires a lot of speed whilst entering and it tightens up towards the end.

Other events held at the circuit include a round of the MotoGP world championship, the Australian-based V8 Supercar championship in 2005, attracting crowds of over 250,000 spectators, and also the final round of the A1 Grand Prix in 2006/2007. The 2008 MotoGP race was the last one on this circuit, as the FIM didn't select the racetrack for the provisional calendar of 2009. This is due to overcrowding problems in the circuit. Partly due to location of the circuit, areas around turns 1, 8 and 14 have been sinking, and therefore the circuit had to be inspected before the 2011 event took place.

Now that you've taken part in 2 races, do you feel you're in a different position in the league as to where you thought you would be before the season started?: It's hard to say, in some aspects yes and others no but I just want to build on from here.
What are your thoughts on the circuit and what is your target for the race?: Another circuit like Malaysia which isn't one of my strongest, I'll try to aim for a podium again but it may be a bit more of a struggle here then in Malaysia so I'll take a top 5.
What is the dynamic between you and your teammate like?: It's an interesting one, we've been rivals for over 3 years now on the track and even to this day we're still really close rivals. Our respect to one another on the circuit is probably the best between anyone as we rarely ever make contact.
Will Jamie quit?: No, he won't.
