thanks Bill appreciate the reply and the feedback...i think ur spot on, i tried steve stoops setups variants of and was definately more consistent in 50%distance qualified fastest 1:30 odd and 1:29ss was easy on a 'controlled' no mistake laps in practice.. so something learnt... heres hoping anyways cheers Bill

think mine i the same as yours, i think it is just the wireless version of it, completely agree with you on the wheels, just cant get the pedals to stay underfoot!
what i did to my xbox pedals= there are 2 rubber pads on bottom, hopefully yours will be similiar/same.
take the rubbers off, now insert a drawing pin through the said rubber pads (sharp side facing carpet) place rubber pads back.
hey presto pedals stay firm. used velcro once but the missus went balistic about her beloved carpet.. (i'd put lol but she might see it)

OK Guys have done car allocation. It is in the original post
Remember that this is a fun club event and that the allocation is an imperfect science and that some people are evolving in speed and some are new and a bit unknown.
Some notes:
-Jono, your point is accepted but this week we think you still fall into the top 3 drivers and all cars except Force India have to be given to someone.
-Peter Hooper and Mark Geenall, have been given one group slower cars due to strong recent performance.
-Chris Bell, your allocation reflects previous performance, however if you feel that in the no assists setting you want to have the Williams I am happy to swap with you.
-Tim Ustica, from his brief seems pretty fast but it seems harsh to start him with a tier 5 car hence tier 4.
-Dylan was still damn quick with controller and is in the fastest group.

Ive done my best to even things out. Hope you are all ok with it.
If I have made a clear error and someone faster than you is in a slower car let me know.
David

Nice tip there Mark,

To be honest I have rarely had a problem with my pedals slipping but it's a good one to remember if I do start having similar issues.

Hey Mrs Greenall.. he is laughing about your carpet... you shouldn't let him come outy to play on Thursday lol

Woohoo.. I avoided the Merc... that was my only real concern as I just cannot deal with that high nose. Never driven the Renault so looking forward to it. One week at the front and I am already heading backwards... wonder if I'll ever reach my old spot at the back of the grid lol

haha, we have a deal - she gets to watch as much rubbish (soaps) as she likes but thursday is f1 night! by the way as were on subject of wheels. which is best for xbox? looked at a fanetec very nice!!!! but then i saw price an thought i could buy a vectra for that money.

Hmmm.. I have never tried Legend yet.. not sure what I was racing against last night but my times were around 2 or so seconds quicker than the next cars in practice. Think it was intermediate but I'll have to check later when I get home. I am currently using 52% front if I remember correctly. Might need to slighltty adjust the gearing for my next session though as I was reaching the limiter a little too early on the long bendy straight...

well on hard compound just done 1.19.044 (merc)
sector times- (1) 17.608
(2) 36.893
(3) 24.493
just thought of something im practising in gp mode full sim fuel tyres ect.. cars are different like this right? concerned as merc seems quicker than ferrari on hards at least.
(soft tyres merc) 1.17.753
sector times
(1) 17.053
(2) 36.709
(3) 24.091
i'd say maximum i'l get is around 1.16.9. i can feel where loosing time ( sector 2 is only tenth better than a.i)
