first RD race (thanks)

Bryan Farnie (detestedpit6602)

My first RD race

I must apologise for running into the back of Craig at the first corner but i did let him past and who ever was behind him as well then proceeded to have a nightmare with 5 pit stops, but what a game i really enjoyed it and look forward to the next one.I am happy to go with the present format or as David as said one off's on a Sunday or indeed any format you may come up with.I would just like to say thanks for some great entertainment on Sunday.

Andrew and Ryan, thanks have put you in.
One more driver and we can do car allocation, so prob tommorrow.
It just a pain to do it and re do it and shuffle the deck over again.
Ryan, Well done on getting the wheel, I put the pedals against an immovable object (TV stand) which stops the going wandering.

hey Fellas...firstly i apologise to couple of you i slid out or just messed up and got in the way while being lapped at a demoralising rate of knots!! which brings my question to all who can help SOS ;( at risk of sounding like a sook or an idiot at best....

Why is my pace sooo slow!! grand prix mode i practice with legendary difficulty, use no assists and manage to be top 3 fastest if not fastest and have finished race in same positions at 50% 75% and have attempted 100% distances am only second or so slower than Bortz in TT which i know is not a good way of judging pace But hey if anyone can say almost as fast as Andrew then they must have some pace!!!????? Or am i just wrong too old silly or hopless.....??

enjoyed that race, thanks to kaos for the hosting.

a bizarre qualy for me, i've never experienced a 100% rain qualy where you can put slicks on and go pretty fast! but the sky looked like no rain so i chose primes and it was wet but still ok. got wetter by my 3rd lap and that was it! no more quicker times. my first lap was good, my second was looking great until a small error, 3rd lap to wet.

race: i really need to practise my first phase of the race...as per usual it was shocking, all over the grass etc and i find myself last again by lap 2. from then on a drove a steady race, had one spin (same place as you joempie but about 10 laps earlier) and came home 3rd. probably like everybody, way way to many little mistakes most laps cost time but that's what these test races are all about. congrats to mattie and joery for 1st and 2nd
i also need to work on being smooth when coming up behind people...i caught tgwulfn and joempie at different times and immediately started to make big errors.
had a good little battle at the back with guvnor and rzzzzzz at the start. i was struggling to keep pace with them at that stage, couldn't make apexes etc. rzzzzzz made a mistake middle sector and i went up the inside, we may have banged wheels lightly and then i was able to get away and concentrate as i had no one in front for a while.
cheers guys. may upload a little bit of vid later if i get time
here joempie, this is for you to fix up your cold...:pill::pill:

Congrats to 'hungarian 1-2 finish' and to James for your podium :)

my race wasn't that bad at the end of the day, i took wrong setup (testing) and had no grip at all on options so lost few positions within the first few laps, changed for primes on lap 9 and picked up some pace later and only managed not to lose more time to James and finished 23sec behind taking 4th, Zomacher and Sziszifusz as usual out of reach ;)

btw ...i'm kind of curious what setup are you using guys :):)

thanks to all for racing

Good race ... bad race....

Good:
-pole position (just the right timing and tyres with the 100% rain change), my first one! :)
-race pace, made loads of small mistakes, but could keep the gap to the fresh option runners behind me on worn primes

Bad:
-people turning into the corner where someone is next to them... (lap 7)
-people pushing others off the track.....(lap 8)
-game penalty system, I span just before Bill and Dan, got a penalty for blocking...... too bad I didn't record this race. :( Yep.. 40 seconds on the penalty.... (lap 35/36?) Waited at the finish line for Mattie to finish, so 1 lap down :D + 40 seconds :p

Will keep the good things with me and flush the bad ones. :D

Thanx for hosting Justin and congrats to the podium finishers!

Glad to see you are getting some practice in Andrew. Was that completely no assists (manual gears as well)?

Not sure of others times here but I did a quick session there tonight and did a series of laps around the 1:18-1:19 mark, fastest of 1:18.6 (no assists, manual gears). Pretty pleased with that so far as it's only 4 tenths slower that Steve Stoops quali lap in the track guide. Toughest corner I find is the hairpin as it's easy to lose a stack of time there. I love the stadium section, particularly Sachs where there is so much grip and you can really power through there for the end of the lap.

See ya' there buddy.
