That was my favourite race of the season so far. I had an absolute epic battle with risinglegend. I q'd 1st which I was really happy with. Started ok but the car felt so heavy and I ended up driving defensively as risinglegend was putting so much pressure on. I cracked and rising went through on lap2or 3. I was able to keep with him and we were putting some seriously good lap times in. The gap ranged from 2-6 seconds all race, it was truly amazing. Risinglegend held his nerve and came out the deserved winner. Great race!!

Thanks for another nice race guys. Always a pleasure and very enjoyable.

My best qualifying performance of the season with my best ever GP mode time of 1:32.856.. only 1.492 from pole which is by far the closest I have got to the front in any race this season. I actually was on a faster lap on my final run but got baulked by Senna so ended up a couple of tenths down. But still well happy with the result. Of course the downside to qualifying well was that I had to start on my used options which were already at 88% so I knew I could struggle to make them last as long as I wanted in the race.

Reasonable start but I am always very cautious, especially now I am starting further up the grid and need to look both in front and behind lol. As a result I lost a couple of spots (one to the AI and I think Richard got past me too..). Was running fairly comfortably in 5th and then 4th when somebody pitted and was keeping the gap to Andrew behind me fairly consistent. The front tyres were into the yellow fairly early on but weren't causing me any problems and I was hoping I would be able to stretch it out until around lap 10 for my stop but when the right front was orange and left front went red I decided it was time to make my stop at the end of lap 9. Lost some time at Brooklands when I went slightly wide but got into the pits for a decent stop and came out in 9th with a bunch of AI up the road in front of me. The race was fairly uneventful for me at this point. I made up a couple more places to get up into 7th (getting past Andrew when I assume he made his pit stop) and closed the gap to Kovalainen from 16 seconds to around 5 with a couple of laps to go. I knew the leaders were approaching and had hoped to avoid going a lap down but they closed in on me and I decided to let Adam through by taking a wide line through Vale but took it a little too wide and ran onto the grass :S I knew Guy was not too far behind so I sat there while I waited for him to go through before rejoining the race. Of course losing so much time (around 10+ seconds I would guess) allowed Andrew to close right up on me and I knew I would have a tough time for the last couple of laps. I stretched the lead at certain points but he clawed it back at others but thankfully (for me anyway…) I kept it together and crossed the line still in front of him.
You were very lucky we'd been lapped cos i would've sailed past you on the final lap had we not been lapped. And i dunno why but from lap 10 my primes are wearing away and i'm suddenly doing better than before with less errors keeping Kovalienen behind me and catching up to hammer. Is there anyone in this league who has a job as a psychiatrist btw?

Myself and David (Figjam) both use the Madcatz MC2 (wired) wheela and pedal unit. Cost around 30 quid from Argos and has done sterling work for over 6 months now. Not as impressive looking as the other more expensive sets you can gert but money for value wise it's been excellent. I have never been able to sue the controller... drives me nuts and I just don;t know how others can be so competitive with them!!
