Rules are quite clear there as we only just updated this from the last race. As for giving priority to the host I dont believe this is the case, if it want for the misinformation that has cropped up in past results at the end of either qualifying or the race then I would have dropped out as thats what the 5 race drop is all about accomidating.
Im not sure about the mismatched drivers in each league, yes its not perfect but its bloody close and we have plans for next season in F1 2011 regarding the placements of everyone.
Any chance you can tell us what rules you dont like as they are there for guidance atm our first try at a league and updating as I told you from as close as the last race.
Well i think its okay not to restart the qualification after drop in the end of it, or, may be, 60% of qual time... its unnecesary and its unfair for other drivers u r driving with in league... Also the driver can lose his concentration for race and 'requalification' after restarts when he already posted the time, sometimes the time in 'official qual' is the best of all times on that track, because driver is concentrated for it.
Well I think its okay not to restart and I agree with those rules.
The other question - if that was 2nd or 3rd time - why not to change the host?..
Ansdy i understand your Frustration but no matter what happens their has to be a Host and what comes with that is they are unlikely to get a DC... is that fair? NO...did we ask for it? NO.... it's built into the game and sadly P2P is crap, i have expressed my plans with the other moderators for a F1 2011 league but tbh i've lost so much interest now.Of course this rule benefits the host...... He will never miss a race due to disconnection. He drops out, the session gets restarted. Seems like a pretty safe postion to be in to me.
Fair enough, if my connection had let me down and I dropped out, thats my loss. But when 2 dc at virtually the same time? Come on, thats down to the host/game/whatever, but not down to the players who dc. Common sense tells you that. Surely with a maximum of 11 racers online we want as many of those racing as possible?
Typically, this was the only chance I had to race all week, and managed to squeeze some practice in a couple of hours before the race. Only to be left staring at the screen wondering why the session wasnt restarted.
Mismatched drivers is a lot more of an issue than you accept. It can quickly become tedious driving round a track on your own lap after lap, knowing that guy in front or behind is never going to catch you.
There are guys 3 seconds a lap quicker than some in grp2 and that was around Montreal, a relatively short track. Hopefully next year, you will learn from the advance qualification sessions that this year has provided. There are obviously drivers who are poor and those who are superb in the wet.
That is where things got messed up. A wet race at Singapore was not the way to judge drivers over a 19 race season.
As for my comment re the rules, I take it back. I obviously misread the part about restarting the event once qualification starts. I guess I just scan read it assuming that logic would take priority in the event that disconnections would be restarted, just like at the start of the race. After all, surely race start positions cannot be retained in a new session unless I am missing something.
Sorry guys, game quit on me. Second time today, haven't had this problem before. Was really looking forward to the race, too, though I made a mess of the start.
