yes but Driver's are focsed on the Track and driving not the map which can result in crashes.

If I have to drive my hot laps watching using the minimap all the time I would be even more slower than I already am.

Well I guess that depends on luck and consistency. So far I have been very lucky to show my pace off and finish races without problems, were as in my ARL championship I have been robbed of results by blown out tyres, lag starts, damage and other people's bad driving. I believe others can still have the pace to challenge me upfront but I can only try my best to not let that happen.

Yeah this thing doesn't looks good at all for racing. Accel/brake with triggers, yak. And from the old X box wheel experience so many had (not that bad to use, but always broke down after a couple months of use), I wouldn't spend a dime on this one.
