I have a spare F1 Ferrari if anybody want's one, only had one owner, old lady who drove it 3 yard's once 'Honest' really good condition, no that is not a black puddle of oil its erm a...a shadow, no that is not the smell of pee, it is new car smell, really cheap almost giving it away for free, oh erm I am lol.
No, we are not starting the championship as such yet. We are doing the wednesday night as a regular thing, once everyone is happy with the assists settings. distances and general rules and procedures, we will make the championship happen.
wednesday's event was one of a few to test the water to make sure it will all run correctly.
I would like people who are interested to sign up here so that we can make the championship happen... once it's ready. Its not something we should rush, and it will take a little work to integrate with the rank / league system on RD site (to make it more official).
Yes that was the point of the game ram em off the road, and judging by some online race's tonight it has been Carmageddon ONLINE ! shocking I have learnt to hang back on the first corner every one want's to be #1 first thinking that secure's them the race, how wrong they are 99% of the time tsk tsk ! ruin's it but hey organised and friendly is the way to go I am looking forward to this race, so I am going to get a little sleep now goodnight all !
Well after a bumpy start it eventually got going lol. Thanks to everyone for the race's I enjoyed it a lot. Driving online is certainly different and I figure I need more practice. Well done to the winner's and the loser's (me) lol. I hope we can do it again sometime's.
Good racing everyone! It's a shame you all couldn't stay for the whole thing.
I probably should have told you guys that I'm not racing with a wheel currently...using an xbox 360 controller, so pardon any bumping that occurred in Race 1 and Race 2.
Some bumping is to be expected, as long as it's not a Destruction Derby, it's no big deal. =) Was fun racing, shame I'm so bad at Monza and Suzuka, and at Marina Bay I got such a good start and I go make two rookie mistakes to ruin it.
I do a lot of AI testing in GP mode and that feel's totally different to career mode but online all my brake point's were slightly different, much more challenging as you saw much to my detriment, I have not played online much at all so I hope I improve. All in all it was a good maiden voyage lol
Mark, for the start's try and keep your rev's just below when the red gear change line appears ! or in the red on the steering wheel's LED's. I use RDev LED's the official version, much better for it !
Well I will post again this week for another race next week I hope to see you guy's online some more.
Cheer's, Dave.
p.s Oh and sorry for the race distance mistake I loaded my online test session by mistake.
Maybe 30% distance on, say, 2 tracks might be an idea? Figured since some of us struggled a bit on at least a few of the tracks, it might be easier to get into some rythm during the race if it's a little longer. Just a thought.
Oh and I had that irritating right rear puncture on Suzuka too! >=( Not even halfway through the first lap! Grr. =p
