Qualified 2nd on Full Wets

Started on Primes got a decent start 2nd into the first corner hung with Italian until at the end of the first sector on lap 2 Italian went too deep and hit a barrier meaning I didnt have to overtake him properly

From there I did a bunch of lapping cars did my first pit stop on lap 21 for Options.

Did a bunch more lapping cars and came in a second time for Options 3 laps from the end since tyres were naffed all red.

Set a lap time of 1:14 flat on the last lap.

@Scott, I was on primes. The setup is pretty stable, although I miss traction and the car is not really responsive, the gears also need to be organized a bit better.

Qualified as 4th on primes, I think the track was cold as I seem to be missing a bit of grip.

I stayed behind Scott till he crashed, and crashed right at the same spot as I was concentrating on him instead of the track.

In lap 4 I missed the apex before the swimmingpool and span, Gootek303 could pass me and I went in the hunt for him. It was really tough not to make contact as I was I bit quicker than him. It stayed clean and on lap 7 he wanted to take a swim in the swimming pool as he just went straight instead of taking the chicane. It made me make the chicane wide hit the barrier and my wing went to yellow. After start/finish line went to wide going into 1st corner and was pointing the wrong direction. Took me ages to go the right direction without a nose, Went in for options, drove my laps, got lapped by Andrew (who doesn't ). I could pretty keep up with him for a lap or 2 then he went in for his pitstop and my tempo went down again.
Missed the chicane after the tunnel a couple of times and got a penalty. Went in on lap 22 (?) for primes and nose and drove to the finish as 2nd. Don't know what happened to Italian as he seemed to be steady in 2nd.

Saturday I'll need to drive more consistant and hopefully I will be able to fine tune the setup, to give me that just a bit extra's.

Thanks to those that showed up.......My race was typical at monaco....drive a lap ...get a new wing......drive a lap get a new wing....drive a lap get new wing and flat tire......then something really strange happened....I went about ten laps without a new wing....but this turned out to be a setup for my departure ......when, what I thought was a minor clip of a guardraill down by the bay....totaled my car.....well at least I saved a couple of wings........

Thanks Jack. What is it that prevents me from using the drop downs though? I am on Windows 7 Starter at home so thought it would be pretty much up to date.

Dylan, regarding the recording from Xbox there is a piece of kit from Roxio that allows this.. trouble is it costs about 70 quid and is called Roxio Xbox Game Capture. Anyone want to send it to me I will happily try it out for you

Yeah, it does that to sync to the computer and game. I noticed tank slap a lot in gt5. It's nothing compared to f1 2010. 2011 should be fenominal.

Just had my first practice session at Monaco and was around about the same as you Gagsy in the 1:24's but then found a bit extra and finished with a 1:22.073. Swimming Pool exit is still horrible for me to negotiate with that stuttering but I feel that I am making decent progress here at the moment. Is the 20% practice still on for tomorrow? I am still hopeful I can make it.

it does tank slap alot in GT5, what was your FFB setup? i aint tried the gears yet but ill try tomorrow, it does get abit annoying when your trying to steer into a corner and your having to fight the wheel suddenly trying to snap in the other direction but im starting to get used to it slowly

All I can say is try and be as smooth as possible then gradually pick up the pace, you'll soon find the limits. I have all ffb setup on full, but that's just me lol
