Sorry guys, moving house over the Christmas period is a nightmare. My Internet us now up running and stable at a nice 8mbps, so I will be getting back onto this. I have emailed Jaap who makes the GPCOS league system used here at RD. He says there will be manual data entry on the next version of the software (not sure on a release date yet). The RD championship will start around then.

I have a bit to catch up on here still and yet to talk to Dan about organisation stuff - hosting, data collection, race calendars, track selection, event formats. Big undertaking really.

I'm thinking we should run 2 separate leaderboards - a no assists and an allcomers (anything goes) to keep everyone satisfied, I know a fair few of you are keen on assist - free racing at the moment.

Anyway to keep people interested until GPCOS gets updated, I reckon we should have A race night every Wednesday, starting with an evenin of sprint races on Wednesday if any of you are up for it? Any suggestions on tracks, and or assists settings?

Ok folks we have made a discovery in this game the mysterious "connetion failed" when the GP is hosted Private people have problems connecting, i changed the GP to public and wolla, Steve and Jan ca

I would be open to no assists if everyone else wants to, possible time problem though as you are all 8 hours ahead of me, as far as tracks, maybe something fast and open---Spa or Silverstone??? Don't like the walls in runoff areas (like Montreal, right Dan???) Hope all are having a good New Year!!!

Yeh dito, im game for no assists but only if we can make up the numbers. Monaco is good with me tooo, thats one hell of a test but defo a good sense of achievment if you finish the race without taking a nose cone off etc..

Wednesdays should be ok with me, any circuit really but has to be 20% + i rekon.

Who can do some assist-free races tomorrow? (that would be Sunday Jan 9th 2011, making sure we're all on the same day) Anytime, all day etc? I'll even race tracks I hate if it's abs/tcs/dline free. *u can keep your automatic gearbox, it is only a hindrance.

many moons ago with GRID, i could'nt log on, if i'd been playing the game before hand, might be an idea to shut down your pc, then
.reboot, then log on to F1, see if that works, just an idea chaps, you never know

THat's what kinda killed it for me, the connection crap with the game. On random races you join, they launch and then you sit there for like 5 mins until you get "x dropped, y dropped, z dropped" and then it can start. But then you've lost a bounch of people. And in the end, out of 12 people, only like 3 - 4 finish. It's rather stupid.

But maybe I'll give it another chance and see.. =p I saw you were full, though so good luck and have fun this time!
