I am also in a sim racing league on another site and so I've got a good list of genuine sim racers on my buddy list - and it is starting to appear as though we will have a full lobby - maybe even enough to have reserve drivers for racing without assists today! Good sh!t! I'm pumped!

Well said, that is exactly how it should be.... if theres any more mishaps im afraid i won't be participating as it would be more fun racing online even tho their dirty racers :(.

yes but Rodrigo what you have to understand is you don't just simply create another session because some1 left or crashed.... you made it unorganized and unejoyable for me aswell as others.

we practiced on dry the night before all that practice out the window because the weather was wrong, you have to understand theres only one host so in future please do not create another session, i know you're trying to help but it makes things unorganized and unfun for alot of us.

Come on folks, pull this together.

Again i'm Sorry wont leave again until host calls me! Vyrush was late, he said David was ment to invite him and forgot. David lost connection and i thought we were suposed to leave. SSSOOOOOOOOOORRY. Plz stay you guys, i'll gladdly (kind'a)stay away for a few punishment races if you guys fell that you can organise this. MY BAD, already cutting my neck.

[We can only have one host at a time and if the main host goes down for whatever reason, or we loose many people for no apperent reason, everybody should drop out and wait for the backup host to start session and invite.

Again i'm sorry, it wont happen again. Only did this (start to invite) because i was seeing people go out and wasn't seeing nobody leaving session as it is suposed. MY BAD[/QUOTE]

It's not a problem that you step up and try to help, that's just a nice thing to do :) , but it's so confusing when , in this case as host, I get invites from all over the place when the session is up and running.
So don't feel bad trying to help out

So, in short: The Host is King

Yes Jan is king :D all hail him. I don't know what to do with mine I have tried everything re-install patch fixe's but to no avail, very frustrating we can't pinpoint the exact problem, it is like I said before it feel's like someone else is in control of my car before it happen's then bang connection failed ?.

LOL, yeah, well, at least whoever hosting is King :D

David, I don't know what you are running the game on but is it possible your computer simply can't handle the load ? (or perhaps you just need a new NIC)

David it seems you have problems every race, honestly i think it is your computer that can't handle it or your internet truly sucks.

Tamas, the session was all meant to be dry, the race in dry is one thing but to have Qualify'ing in Wet is just wrong for a dry session.

Im very worried about this "League" thing that david was talking about, it's hard enough to organize fun races, let alone a league lol.

i think we should try another race at 4.30 pm/ GMT sunday, same place,. anyone up for it?????

I'd host it, but i think my coonection is to slow 3.5

i was really looking forward to the race today, was very dissapointed

plus im sorry if i invited everyone to a race after the dissapointing wet Qual, just peed me off and wanted to start another after i got 4th in qual at the first one

well that was fun, thanks guys for turning up at short notice, i was crap tho, to many beers.............lmao

and surprise surprise, i managed to host it

in future i think Steve or Jan should host no1 else.... maybe these are lesson learned, we all learnt alot today from our failings.

im doing a session on Wedsnday Night if anyone is up for it.... most probably 7-8PM GMT on ( Track - Spa )

I agree with all you guys, james your right we do need a chat about it, but within a month or so I reckon we could get it started, need to run it by Bram first (head man here) to make sure its alright to do so, but I think that the idea of 2 leaderboards sounds cool to me! Will keep you guys updated, but with the races before christmas we had a real good turn out so should be good stuff

We ended up racing from about 11am until just past 2:30pm (EST). We had a pretty full room - 10 racers for, I believe, the entirety of the time played. We would have had no problem getting more players in, but they were already racing long endurance races or multiple track championships. We cleared up the connection issue dexterously and really the only problem then-after was microphone feedback. (Needless to say that if mic-feedback is the main issue, things are going well.)

This race was actually an attempt at reorganizing a previous F1 2010 race at Monaco with assists banned, and I while I did not win, finishing 2nd, I did qualify on-pole and had the lead until I decided to make an early pit-stop that eventually ended up being a mistake as it was a bit early and my tires were quite worn towards the end of the race. (Torg22 won)

I posted this under the specific race in the forum but wanted to share it on this thread as well - if for no other reason as to show that you can get a full lobby of sim racers together and race without the assists. In my opinion, there is a greater feeling of accomplishment - or at least there should be - for a solid finish without the assists such as TCS,ABS,line, etc, than a solid finish with the assists. 2007 was the last year in which a traction-control system was permitted in Formula 1 racing, and the last time I checked David Coulthard, Kimi Räikkönen and co. were not featured in the 2010 F1 game. (PC users need not comment about how you can modify the game to include custom features such as this, I'm well aware how idiosyncratic you guys are.)

Good racing Justin. Was fun. I had to leave as i was in need of some dinner :) Nice work with setting it up etc...

Yeah, at the end of the Monaco race it sorta hit me that while it was just 2:30pm for me, it was 7:30pm on a Monday for you guys. Moreover, one of the mates that joined us for the first couple of races; tfd1990, was in Australia, so it was five in the morning his time when we started racing!

Blimmey, yeh he must of been keen!!!

Better not be Monday here in UK or else im gonna get the sack for not turning up to work today lol.

I thought it was funny that i had no clue what you guys were talking about when someone mentioned that they wanted some "nibbles". Maybe it's the 27 year old in me, but when he kept saying that he wanted some nibbles, my mind pictured something a bit more crude.

View attachment 33790 @IGOR it was beeing a lot of fun, sorry 4 you to crash, it was the most fun i ever had here so far.
Yeah, i have big fun too. This track not have oppotunity to overtake, and we go in one pace first part of race. Then i do mistake, and you go forward. After pits i was forward of you again and we resume our fight:thanks: But i do mistake again and you was forward of me in 5 sec.
I do a little mistake and touch the wall, but my front wing was red (touch was not very strong and i really dont understand why wing was red. in this situation it must be yellow, maximum - orange). I go to the pit change wing, but crashed to the pit wall on start of pit-lane (broke front wheels:ups:) But most of our fight won Tamaz. He go forward and when we lose time in our fight he do gap from us bigger and bigger. Congrats Tamaz, you are a really good racer. Thank you Rodas for this game it was very fun. Before race i dont wait for good fun in this track, but your help me do that:redface:Thx too all for races. See ya next time (I thinck it will be in Sunday).
P.S. I vote for next Sunday race in Germany.
