F1 2017 Modding Questions Thread

Yesterday i did a race with only full grid of Ferrari 2007 cars so i was wondering would it be possible to make skins and assign them to AI drivers so not every Ferrari has the same red livery. Would like to do a championship with only Ferrari 2007 as a full grid

We can't mod the F2007, this is because the UV's to the nose, engine cover, and wings are extremely small. Also because in the decal map there is no spots assigned for sponsors for these areas.

Furthermore, there is only one F2007 package; The game just uses that 20 times to create a full grid. So different textures per car wouldn't work anyway...
 
Sorry if this has been answered already, I couldn't read through all the pages. Anyone knows why .tga file exported through EGO opens completely black on Ps?
 
Ok can somebody please explain how to use ego erp when i download new skins and how to import.
Cant find this anywhere on here.

Has anyone tackled the performance files yet?

In 2016 it was easy, even without the NCE mod, but this year look much more difficult because of how the upgrade system

Anyone knows how to edit them?

How can we change AI's performance? I want to have a closer grid, one where P10 isnt 1.5seconds off the pole pace, and I have already made all car's performances equal but this does nothing to the AI, it just applies to the player. Can somebody help me out?
 
Can someone tell me how we can edit the decal and paint files in F1 2017. I've tried exporting the files and have watched the videos but whenever i export the paint or decal file it is just black. I know how to mod F1 2016 very easily but F1 2017 doesn't seem to work for me :(. Any help would be appreciated

Don't worry just found out you need the Intel Plugin now not the nvidia one! Happy Modding!

The easiest way is to edit the car performance files.

For instance, to boost McLaren up the field I've edited the file to make McLaren have a Renault engine, Ferrari chassis, and the Mercedes aero.

Alonso is never out of the top 10 unless something terrible happens and on certain tracks he is easily in the top five and can get podiums (Australia 6th, Spain 3rd, Monaco 5th, Canada 8th in my current season of career mode.)

In order to get qualifying correct though, you have to sit through the entire thing without fast forwarding OR do one shot quali.
 
Is there some way to tweak some ingame files in order to change teams that make you offer in career mode during and after the season ends? I am driving with sauber and no matter what i do, no matter what difficulty i drive, no matter what teams are most interested in me, i only get offers from ferrari, red bull and mercedes. (even though the "team interest" chart says they are not interested in me)
