Misc F1 2012 Realism mod

That looks ok, but i think this regard only qualifications. Im a bit too slow on race...
The database file has 'track difficulty' values that can be edited to increase or decrease the ai laptimes.
I had the same problem as you, i was winning easily on Intermediate but then i had no chance on Pro (i use gamepad), so i edited these values to find a 'semi-pro' setting and its MUCH MUCH better now.
I also found with this increase in difficulty i didnt need to use the Competitive braking mod anymore.
That looks ok, but i think this regard only qualifications. Im a bit too slow on race...

Actually it all has to do with the mod, or at least Maldonado could be possible because i've adjusted the AI that they try to outbrake you.
I think I've hit the sweet spot with DNF's, because in 2012 there seems to be an average of 4 DNF's each race.

I'd like to hear more of your results, (especially Vettel and Raikonnen's results and DNF's) and what race length you use.
I'm open for requests so we are able to drive the ultimate races!

Can you help me to work on performance for 1997 cars .... at this time... i've switch ctf files team to team... llike Red cull one to Williams etc... or doing some tweek on database with tier or Ai engine power per tier... and also nothing happen... i simulate first GP and Villeneuve never get top 3 place, Stewart team ( Mercedes ) are too fast, Hill ( Vettel ) are to often on top 3.

Now i really dont know what to do
 
I've been using version 3.1 with the "Realism Career races" and only have the stock 4 Flashbacks available...

Aren't there supposed to be 50 Flashbacks added with this Mod or do I have to use one of the other % distance mods to get 50 FB's?

I've tried it and it seems to work,
The first part i've tried and it works, the game saves the replays automatically into my documents\F1 folder.
But the 2nd part about getting them to play i cant get working....I'm getting a steam error 'Failed to load app' that i still cant get around.

Can somebody with a non-steam version of the game try this and see if the part about getting them playing works and any steam users got any idea what to do ?

Shifty im not very good with those CTF files, I think you have to go to the Car Performance thread for that, Johnny Dangerously seems to be kind of good with that!

As for the engine power tier, changing that really works. I've tested this with big differences in values and it really works so you can mess around with that a bit.
Also when u sim times, you have to be in database. There are speed_in speed_out and driver performance lines which you can change, it will definitely work for simmed times. For the car performance just change the engine power tier, that seems to be the easy way. if you want real handling differences you have to go to the ctf files, but changes in there will make the AI crash more than they should. ;)


Now for other people, does anyone know how to disable the command line that the pit radio uses names of other drivers? So I want to disable the pit radio saying "Kamui is in the pits", or something like that.
 
Well I think i have to ask again, which values are exactly changed in the database? because i am using a 2013 mod and want to play with the realism mod, but if I replace the database all names are incorrect of course..

Hmm to many values to mention in here, you don't really need the database just try without it, so just the other files.
 
thanks for it, i will try. but i dont think it would be too hard, because i only have to know the lines and columns and then i can copy it from your database to the 2013 database. this is not difficult with the ryders database editor. but anyway thanks
 

just modify the flashback count in "difficulty" section in the database (and change the others options to, i suggest you made all the difficulties with the same values, so you can change the difficulty and keep all the flashbacks you want)

Use ryder database editor!
 
Do I need the database.bin file for it to work? Because my game wouldn't start with the modded database.bin file, but will start with all the other modded files excluding database.bin.
 
2 things:

#1 Demy do you know of a way to make the tyre to tyre contact more violent like in real life? In this game when tyres touch tread to tread (not sidewall to sidewall) they just rub against each other instead of snagging and popping a car up into the air.

#2 (This is for anyone else too...send me a message) I have some modified AI files which I believe have fixed the issues of AI aggression when overtaking (aka backing out too soon), AI behavior when drafting and going around the player on a straight (fixing that wiggle/decision issue when they come up behind you), AI blocking maneuvers (they're much harder to pass now and block more appropriately), and side by side racing (they'll go through whole turns and even multiple turns with you side by side now. I believe I've also fixed or at least greatly reduced the issue (excluding mistakes) of drivers running into the back of you in braking zones

This is using the competitive braking mod.

hey demy, im racing with mclaren on career and i get kers failures every race, is then anything to do with the mod and if so is there anything i can do to stop the problem. BTW im not just moaning, the mod is fantastic and i now wouldnt be able to play f1 without it :thumbsup:
 
Hi Demy, first of all thx a lot for this mod :) ; although I haven't really been able to experience it fully in the game. I have a doubt; how do you use this mod in conjunction with the safety car fix mod (latest release). I installed your mod first and then the safety car mod (replaced all files when it asked); would that affect in anyway? Are there any overlapping files? Am I supposed to install that MOD first and then urs??? Thanks for helping me out and sorry if this has already been answered; but there are too many pages to read through :(

Install this mod first, than install only track folder from SC mod.:thumbsup:
