THX watever for the codemasters port update , is the laptimes and sectortimes hard to map for in the rfactor1 plugin ?
Sadly the plugin I used for rfactor connection is really poor and does not give it, I have to change the whole plugin (I am searching for an alternative for both rfactor1/2 ideally which are both lacking of data)

Haha! Theres plenty more to learn but it's fun!

Here's another one for you..... How can you make something blink? I want the leds to flash when revs too high.

Here we are :
blink(blinkername, blinkdelay, currentstatus)
Returns alternatively true/false every blinkdelay (in milliseconds) if 'currentstatus' is true, else always returns false. 'blinkername' is used to keep function in sync beetween calls.

ncalc exemple :
blink('rpm',150,[SerialDashPlugin.ComputedRPMPercent]>[SerialDashPlugin.BlinkTriggerRatio])

Yeah, I tried that but for some reason I can't seem to get it to work :(

I assume I'm writing the formula wrong and in the wrong place. I'm putting it in the visable calculation but what do I put for the 'blinkername'?
Ahh ! I've tested it, blinkers are a bit too much shared accross plugins , I look in order to fix it, as a workaround use a dummy blinker name like this :

not(blink('mydummyblink', 150, [SerialDashPlugin.ComputedRPMPercent]>80))

The "not" makes the default state as visible instead of hidden when not blinking.

the blinker name is intended to keep track of blinker status and allow binking over time.

Hi Wotever,
I know you said the servos are experimental, but would you think it is possible to add more servos say one for revs and one speed and even fuel if it is possible.

Ah! Just seen your post. The 'not' could have been useful, I've worked around it instead now! :)

Hey all another update.

I've done some additions to the Porsche dash and created an F1 style one.

Changes made to the Porsche:
- LEDs and RPM Bar now blink.
- Pitlane warning now blinks.
- The sub page has tyre wear and a pedals overlay (tyre wear data output is bugged though). Also the Clutch isn't working for some reason (looks like there is no clutch output by the game).

F1 style:
- Similar design but different layout to Porsche.
- Two multi purpose boxes (I've mapped to action A and action C - B was playing up).
- Rpm LED's do the F1 style of each section lighting up as the revs build with the first 3 green disappearing after a certain range.
- Main info box has session info too including ballast if there is any (not sure if the ballast output from the game works or not, will find out).
- Idle screen is set to a Mercedes F1 logo but you can switch between this or the following: Red Bull, Mclaren, Ferrari. Just make visable which one you want to use.

If anyone can make better backgrounds then please get in touch. Mine are a bit 2D. Also if anyone has any ideas to improve let me know!

Finally, thanks for the help and software @Wotever. If you want to use the designs in any future releases feel free.

Interesting. I'll have a look at that option in a bit.

Regarding your questions. Hope you are ready!
- It crashes a lot, I mean a lot. When I'm making these dashes I have to restart it around every half an hour. It will sometimes slow down then stop responding or just play up.
Things I'd like to see:
- The ability to rename dash screens.
- The ability to make a copy of dash screens.
- The ability to delete / rename widgets.
- The ability to copy a component.
- The ability to use created widgets across different dashes
- Have dash's start up automatically when games load (so you can leave the app in system tray all the time). Or also when the app loads.
- Have a button for switching back and forth between the created dash's.

That's all I can think of for now. I'll add to this post if I come up with anymore. Overall it's awesome though, don't forget that!

And now another question from me! I've setup my dash to use Assetto corsa NCalc scripts how would I get it to work with PCars too?

P.S. That function you gave me worked a treat!

Hi I tried to address most of your feedbacks, just some infos in addition to change log :
- The ability to rename dash screens. -> Simply double click in the screen list to rename it
- The ability to make a copy of dash screens. -> Did it (right click on screen list)
- The ability to delete / rename widgets. -> Not for now, it would mess up everything due to the fact that the widget name is the filename, it would require to rename it everywhere in each files.
-
The ability to copy a component. -> Copy paste was available with ctrl+c and ctrl + v but i added it in some more obvious menus
- The ability to use created widgets across different dashes -> For now a simple "copy paste" of the file should do the trick ;)
- Have dash's start up automatically when games load (so you can leave the app in system tray all the time). Or also when the app loads. -> On my to do list ;)
- Have a button for switching back and forth between the created dash's. -> That was not really the philosophy I was following but I keep the idea ;)

Concerning the crash I've not found major problems, do not hesitate to PM me the log files when it happens, it would help me ;)

Cheers Wotever. Appreciate it. I've noticed it tends to crash quite consistently when I'm running the game and editing during testing. Wondering if it's a side affect of that. I'll send over some logs when it does it again.

Hi, I got a problem with simhub 5.0.3. I start the program, I see the LFS game is active. I press another games active button, tm1638 watch is turning off and game is not being active. I right click the simhub, nothing happens. I close simhub, and double click to simhub to start program again, it says "a simhub instance is working".. what do you suggest ?

I had this the other night all I did was checked Task manager to see if it was running and it was. So killed the process and started it again.

ok I can killed the process too but I can't select any game :/ If I click the game activate button tm1638 screen is turning off and nothing happens. I think program crashes :/

Lot of news those days, that's good.

Yesterday I was playing a lot with AC and RBR with 5.0.2 version and all worked well.
I tried to make work a Samsung Galaxy S as a secondary screen with dash studio using twomonusb software, as someone did a few days ago. It worked with an analogue dash, one digital only showed lap and delta time. But, anyway, I have to stop it because it was very very slow and make AC run little bit slow too.

I'm going to download the new version and test some of the new games you added.

Look in twomonusb to disable virtual display driver, it makes SimHub render in software mode instead of being graphics accelerated, and it's clearly unusable.
