:D bring it on boy ;-) , laptimes working in ams + port selection , ooh and maybe what i wonder about is in ams you can have i think its a map plugin where you can see cars in dots on the map View attachment 186291 that would be so great to have on the nextion display in a race..
Sadly the nextion is not powerful enough for live maps, but i will try to do this on dash studio where i have much more freedom for such kind of displays

i find that seeing a racemap with the cars and there positions makes you want to push yourself to get the next car/dot is like pac-man :D also cool to have when friends are over and can see this on your display its got that high tech thing going btw is the nice motec theme somewhere to get ?

The motec theme for dash studio is still a work in progress ;) but soon ;)

Still cant get the LEDs to work on my TM1638. Must be something I am doing wrong. Could anybody help with some instruction on mapping the the LEDs. The TM1638 I am using has only Red LEDS on it.

Have you tried changing the LED colours to green rather than red? I think that's what I needed to do with mine.

How the connect the hdmi screen is this in the same way as the nextion connection with the uart device the ftdi ft232rl usb to ttl 5v module
I dont have paypal can you sent pm with altenative options for donation.
And thanks the maker of the f1 template this i was making myself .
Now i get the parts for my diy mercedes steeringwheel.
Great software wotsever keep it up.

Is it possible to make a page of the screen to see the car shock damper data telemetry?

Hdmi screen with dash studio simply connects using your graphic card, there is no need to additional parts it is a simple display.

For dampers it depends of the game, what game are you aiming ?

For paypal alternatives I will PM you later ;)

Another question If i may. I was thinking of using a servo for the RPM. I have plugged on in and tried it but it seems a bit slow when revving. Is there a way to speed it up?

Servos are experimental, i'm looking for implementing stepper motors they should be smoother and quieter.
For the servo speed replace the two lines in the sketch:
upDelay = FlowSerialRead();
downDelay = FlowSerialRead();

by

FlowSerialRead();
FlowSerialRead();

Now you can change upDelay and downDelay directly in the sketch to speed it up.

Great Wotsever
I searched en found it the hdmi screen connected to a rpy
But direct to graphic port is better.
Shock data to screen is for rfactor
But i have asseto corsa also i start with this first.( when screen is ordered) so any 5 inch hdmi is oke or do you have a suggestion wich screen will defenitly work with simhub.

With the new dash studio yes you can use any display. RPI displays are a good option due to their sizes (you don't need a RPI ;) ) just take care to choose one which have a real hdmi port , some screens works with RPI gpio and does not have a proper hdmi port.

Hi Wotever,

Been playing with the software all day and come up with a porsche motec style. Still a WIP but here it is if anyone want to play with it.

Couple of things I've also noticed today:
- After a while the dash editor starts to slow down. It also takes quite a while to load the open image window.
- When moving the order of items on a dash it is really fast moving up and down. Makes putting it in the right place a pain!

Anywho here is my first attempt. Will be creating more dashes too in the near future and will share:

Thanks just the trick. Only fund your software this weekend and its got me planning all sorts :)

Yeah you nailed it ;)

I had a look, Do not hesitate to use widgets to group some controls, so you have only one control in your editor, the rpm bar is a good candidate for this ;)

For layer update you can use drag'n'drop in the component list :

Fot the slow down I'll look, my "undo" history is a bit bulky and may slow down after a while

Ah man. Didn't realise you could group some thing. That would make it so much easier!

With the drag and drop when the box is smaller and causes the whole box to scroll it goes really fast down the list. Just an FYI really.

Ah ah ! Amazing !
Thanks lol. Im planning on having everything inside the BWM Clocks (ripped the internals out). Going to try and mix it in with another Arduino so that I can have Silas Parkers sketch running on one and yours running on another. This way I can have the LEDs for indicators and such like working for ETS2 and the Revs and Gear/speed running off your software. Dont suppose you plan implementing LEDs i.e. for warning lights etc: (That would be my Holy Grail :rolleyes:)

I am loving your software....
just tried using the Dash studio to send to a tablet (tablet is connected via usb and using Twomon software, adds tablet as another monitor).

Ive been playing that much with it I forgot to eat :) .

Is it smooth ? Would really love to find a smooth working virtual screen using tablet, it would open possibilities to lot of people without having to buy a dedicated screen !
