Community Question | Best Racing Game of All Time?

I can't name 1 favourite!
GTR2,
Race 07 and all expansions,
AC,
ACC,
AMS1 and 2,
Pcars2!
Wreckfest,
BeamNG.
Only one of the above not currently installed is GTR2 because i'm lazy and spoilt for choice, Got RF2 installed but have put about 4 hours into it in 3 years

Edit, Forgot GT legends and the Power and glory mod!

Favourite 'game' that if i had to take it to a desert island is Colin McRae Rally. Still play it to this day.

GTR2 and Richard Burns Rally were two great news those days.
Sadly, I can't play GTR2 now because it's limited to only 2-3 USB devices and I can't make my wheelbase to be first on the list

For F1, Grand Prix Series, NO SIM beats this AI for now.

For Rally, RBR.

GT: GTR2 and ACC, overall GTR2 is better in my opinion, but ACC is graphically KING.

All around: AC, RF2 and pCARS2.

Motocycle: GP500.

Arcade: NFS Underground 2.

If you are old enough the choices can be only GTR2, NR2003 or GP4.
The new sims didn't really evolve enough to be called "best of all time" yet

no chance to select one game............every "decade" has it´s own best game......some years ago GP4, GTR2, GTL, rFactor were the best for me.
And now it is AC and ACC

Probably the GTR/GTR2 series but a special place in my heart is for AC ACC and the GT series up to GT5 (with GT6 the series has started a decline that continued with GTS)

My first love has been Grand Prix 2. Who remembers F1 Racing Simulation? My first game with a Thrustmaster Grand Prix steering wheel.
I played a lot with Gp3 and F1 Challenge 99-02. Then GTR2.
At today Assetto Corsa Competizione is a great sim but...Assetto Corsa will remain the most modded game ever and despite some of its limitations, it remains the best compromise between quality, quantity and longevity.
F1 2019 remain the best and complete experience around the F1 World, not a sim but a very good game.

Without even having a look at the different already written posts, I already guess the most chosen ones for PC users:

Older racing games:
GTL - GTR2 - Race07 ..... or Rfactor

More recent ones:
- AC
- Automobilista 1

Why ? ... modding supported ... and most complete with game features.

NB and for rally ... RBR of course.
Never had a game console ... so no idea in this case.
