Community Question | Best Racing Game of All Time?

ACC for physics, graphics, handling, level of details & realism, rating system, complete grid of class cars with the highest potential of becoming the best ever sim made for GT3 if the MP system and endurance (driver swap) is developed properly within the year end.

I'm late to the simracing-party, I've wasted years and years with console arcade racers. So I would like to say iit's AC, with what it has become. But since I'm a tad overwhelmed with all the possibilities that it offers to kill some #stayathome time I tend to nominate ACC. I just like the more focused approach - and the pure driving experience of course. Not the most original choice but there you go.

Very easy: RFACTOR, by far. Not for the sim itself, but for the possibilities: rF2 and AMS, the most hardcore sims in the market would not exist without RF. Also GTR2 (another gem) was possible thanks to RF.
Don't forguet about gt legends, pcars1&2, and raceroom, all there because rFactor.
rFactor is my vote because this, it was the seed of the simracing power we have now. Actually it's pro version is still used in prosims, which remarks it's pro roots.

Burnout 3: Takedown has to be the greatest racer

literally anyone can enjoy that game and I can't think of anything else as fun.

Arcade: nothing has gotten me quite as hooked, as Need For Speed Underground 2 back at the time. It was magic. Original GRID was also quite good but it didn't beat the might of ToCA Race Driver 3 so the fight would be between NFSU2 and ToCa 3.

Sim: I have to say Race07/Race Injection is probably THE game for me since I've put so many hours into it, LAN games, throwing together mods etc. But the best ones for me are Assetto Corsa and Dirt Rally 2.0.

At present, I think the best rFactor 2 for driving pleasure, even though it has a lot of mistakes, but it is still working on it and detail and visual is the best ACC - a lot of detail it has ;)

I have raced ACC, rFactor2, Automobilista and all Geoff Crammond's versions of f1 but I always end up with GTR2
I still have four GTR2 installs on my computer. And with the GTR2 10th Anniversary PATCH , GTR2HQMODSCOLLECTION and GTR2 ESSENTIALS it even looks great.

Ufffff....

Many games, both sim and arcade, gave me tons of enjoyment.

Colin McRae Rally 1
NFS - Most Wanted
TOCA Touring Cars 2
Grand Prix 2
Grand Prix Legends
rFactor
iRacing

I only use VR, can't get to term with 2D anymore :O_o:...

I am really impressed with iRacing in VR, but I'm just not good enough :roflmao: (everybody else is so fast in iRacing)
So next to iRacing it's ACC, R3E, AC(1) and AMS2 are the choices I go for lately.

Do not have enough spare time though, and this is all luxury problems I guess....

Not that it is the best, but what motivated my interest in racing games was undoubtedly Indycar racing 2 and of course also for simulating my favorite racing series. I still look forward to an official Indycar game coming out like codemasters do with F1. :ninja:
