Wow I like the new update!!!!
Only problem I don't like is my sound. It seems like only the stero speakers work in the game. in windows my 5.1 speakers seams to work properly. :(

Its a known problem that is going to be addressed in a patch soon. You can manually enable 5.1 through an ini edit but I believe you lose the reverb sound effects. The fix is coming though.

solution on AC forum eventually was Total fresh installment
they tried removing the alfa giulietta ,and let steam do integrity check
but that didnt do it
Hi Robert, thanks for your advice.
I visited the official AC forums and there are quite a few people having problems with the game crashing after todays update. Don´t know what´s up with that. Funny thing is yesterday I downloaded the RC and didn´t had any problems.
Anyways, making a long story short setting ENABLE_DEV_APPS to zero in the assetto_corsa.ini in system\cfg\ solved the problem with crashing. It was the acs.exe that crashed after klciking the button for going to track. The track and car loaded fine until you actually want to go to track and drive.

Cheers

The game defo needs AA at 4x, I'm usually not so sensitive for jaggies but running with 2x - as set on default after the update - looked terrible. With AA at 4x it is better but I can't help but feel it's not quite as good as before.
This is with 4x SGSS set in nVidiainspector.

Yep also noticed that the 4xAA isn't as good as before which is weird. Even with 4xAA + FXAA there are some jaggies on several areas of the car which makes me thing it's a bug. Before the update I was only using 2xAA because it looked fine to me (and I am a heavy AA user).

Yes, obviously 90+ is better than 30! And I do feel the difference. I usually put all detail at minimum and run it at 45-50 fps because for me that is more enjoyable than having better graphics at lower fps. All I was saying is that at 30 fps, in my opinion, AC is still very playable.

And more importantly, I prefer to play at 30fps than spend a few hundred euros to play it at 60fps. ;)

have you ever played it on 60fps maxed out? no..so if you played and had the money you would definitly invest ont it.

1) I was talking about my low-spec desktop computer, I have more than 1 computer.

2) Should I give you my bank account details here or in a PM, so you can transfer me the money to get a new rig?

3) I agree with @Simon Roberts, let's go back to topic and forget about the fps sterile discussion: For me the RC is a nice step ahead. Much better sound. Optimised rendering code. A surprisingly nice track (I love Mugello and Imola, and Spa seems to have the best of both). A nice "cute" front-wheel Alfa that I really hope to race in a race event here in RD for close combat racing. And a not so impressive career mode that, despite its flaws, might provide a few hours of fun single-mode play.

They removed the option for antialiasing 8x, now everything is jagged. Bad move.
SLS GT3 has a funny bug with exhaust flames. The flames (in general) still have a poor graphical design, hope it can get better.
LaFerrari is a monster, 458 GT2 is great but the engine sound (from inside) is a bit weird.
Overall, nice update.

Just been having much fun around Spa in the Cobra :)
I have super throttle sensitivity problems driving La Ferrari and the 458 GT2, is there a way to make a slightly longer throttle pedal for those cars, feels like i'm literally just touching the throttle with those cars and getting massively more throttle response than I want, not so with the Cobra for example ?

Hi
is it just me ?? or have the Lotus 49 become to easy to Drive-even on a dusty track and no aids before it was more than a handful to handle.....now in 1.0 its more like tame :cautious:
try it...I can hardly get it to slide :( eeehh

Stig Bidstrup

Spa is a great track but it seems when compared with some other tracks, Nurburgring for instance, to have a lower level in graphical quality and also in detail.
Having crowd is great, having animated crowd is even better, now having some low detail static cardboard dummies as crowd is not that great. The crowd in Spa it seems the same crowd of Colin McRae 2.0.

Mark I don't believe there's currently an in-game setting to adjust that. However, you may be able to edit the game settings ini. to achieve less sensitivity. The brake has a gamma setting which controls the sensitivity, I would think the throttle might also but its just not exposed in the in-game setting menu since is not a commonly requested feature.

Maybe as my Dad always told me, you got a lead foot. :D

4x MSAA is a minimum to clean up most jaggies, but 4x SGSSAA is something totally different. If you're forcing 4x SGSSAA through Nvidia Inspector, you MUST have 4x MSAA enabled also. Whatever level of SGSSAA you're using, your MSAA must match so if you're forcing 4x SGSSAA, you can't use 2x MSAA. SGSSAA won't work at all that way and will leave you with just standard 2x MSAA.

At work now so I can't check if something got turned off but I'm using the same settings in inspector as before the update - hence the surprise it was more jagged. I will do some proper experimenting with the settings during the weekend, both ingame and with inspector. :)

Edit: Sorry, may have misinterpreted you, I do know you need in game setting to be 4x, it's just that i don't think it looks as good as before when it comes to jaggies.
