After all, 28fps is still better than the 24fps they show to you when you pay 10 euros in the cinemas.

Nop. Cinemas show 24fps with motionblur (infinity of images in 1 frames during a period of 1/24s). Games render 1 static frame without motion blur. You need at least 3x24fps to get close to movie feel. Your brain will merge 3 images your monitor saw into one blured like movie shows it.

Well that is completely different thing... Yes your brain will cheat you so 24+ fps seems to you like fluent movement... But you are not playing with your eyes.. You can feel it... Just like in shooter games.. And you can feel difference between 30, 50 or 90 fps and you can feel so much when 90fps drops to 40... so 28 is not enough..if it work for you, have fun of course.. I personally rather don't play if game: A. runs below 40-50 fps (ideally 90+), B. doesn't offer change FOV option (like many console ports have trend to do)

Yes, obviously 90+ is better than 30! And I do feel the difference. I usually put all detail at minimum and run it at 45-50 fps because for me that is more enjoyable than having better graphics at lower fps. All I was saying is that at 30 fps, in my opinion, AC is still very playable.

And more importantly, I prefer to play at 30fps than spend a few hundred euros to play it at 60fps. ;)

The FFB strenght decreased after the update for me.
Using a Fanatec GT3 RS.
Had to increase FFB gain by 45% in the options to restore to previous response levels. More gain results in FFB clipping and is not desireable.
Tested with settings on the wheel lcd and FFB options in menu and ingame.

Anybody with same issue? Any workaround at this time?

Still not sure if my GT3 RS feels the same or not. Try to use "Force Feedback anti-clipping tool v1.1" app to determine how much clipping do you get. I like this app. I tweak FFB for each car with this tool. Set 100% in menu, then 100% in setup screen and drive for 5 min at Magione. Then try suggested FFB value in setup screen. That's how I do it. I used to use too much FFB and got lots of clipping without even realising it because I like my FFB strong. Our wheel is just too weak, no dice.

LaFerrari is exactly as I expected it to be, I like it. That's very good teaser for the P1 which should be even a bit better which is frankly quite unimaginable. Doing 300k at Spa like nothing is mind-boggling.

Downshift animation for SQ gearbox gear stick is still wrong. Why?

I'm very dissapointed they still didn't solve that horrible wheel rumbling under braking. It's very annoying.

Can't comment on anything else yet as I haven't played it much.

thanx, my fov is fine .. and it works in every other sim i`m playing .. i`m talking about single screen, tripple monitor is whole different story (but I don`t wanna have 3 screens on my table) ..

playable and 28fps doesn`t get too much together :)

Lets not get into the whole fps debate here, like i said it was pretty playable for a laptop sat at my desk at work, my racing rig is fully capable of holding 60 on triples.

The one I noticed first was the N1 Magione/QV one - I'd not driven the car or track before (well - I might have one 1 lap at the track way back when) so it was a genuine 'new player' experience - abeit that I have 100+ hours in the game ;0

Unlike the other TAs where there's a tonne of spare time at the start, you have to drive pretty well just to reach the first checkpoint (bearing in mind this is NOVICE 1!) - you can't actually cheat the system because there's no slack time to cheat with.

I guess that's how they wanted it to work - but other TAs will often have 30-40-50 seconds spare when you get to the first checkpoint for reasons I can't even begin to guess at.

I messed around a little bit with the career mode last night and I ran across this also. I had to restart the TA several times because it was very hard to reach the first checkpoint with the initial time they gave you. Probably something that can be easily fixed on their part.

AI in the one abarth career race was wacky. I restarted the race twice, on the third time 2 or 3 cars didn't move at the start. On the second lap a car was just moving very slowly after the hairpin (vallelunga-club), and all of the other AI cars were just creeping along behind it.

I tried a quick race weekend at Spa with a mix of GT cars. At the end of the qualifying session, I noticed that they finally allow you to complete a hotlap if you cross the finish line right before the time runs out. The screen said "waiting for 15 cars to finish", and I waited....and waited....Looked at the track map and right after Eau Rouge there was a car barely moving and about 6 cars piled up behind it crawling along also. AI still needs a bit of help :p.

Still miffed that after a session ends, or if you finish the race first, you cant get rid of the results page...sometimes I like to look around a bit.

Just to confirm - DK2 support fix works great. Full 3D with proper scale. Apparently, there a was a file missing on the Steam upload.

After spending lots of time using the Rift with Pcars, it's good to be back home again (AC) now that DK2 support is in.

The new sounds are fantastic - especially the Z4 and 458-GT2. I managed to get Stereo working but, my AI car sounds are missing now too. I'm sure a fix will be coming soon.

What horrible wheel rumbling are you talking about? FFB?

The game defo needs AA at 4x, I'm usually not so sensitive for jaggies but running with 2x - as set on default after the update - looked terrible. With AA at 4x it is better but I can't help but feel it's not quite as good as before.
This is with 4x SGSS set in nVidiainspector.

4x MSAA is a minimum to clean up most jaggies, but 4x SGSSAA is something totally different. If you're forcing 4x SGSSAA through Nvidia Inspector, you MUST have 4x MSAA enabled also. Whatever level of SGSSAA you're using, your MSAA must match so if you're forcing 4x SGSSAA, you can't use 2x MSAA. SGSSAA won't work at all that way and will leave you with just standard 2x MSAA.

Exit race by pressing alt+F4. I am able to start AC normally, setup the session and then turn on the DK2, press start and center view by pressing cntrl+space. After the race or when ready, press alt+F4 to exit. Turn off rift to change settings, watch replays, etc.

Did anyone tried the Alfa Romeo Giulietta on Spa? My AC crashes during load, acs.exe has stopped responding.
Will test some other tracks when I get home. Maybe time for RC1.0 bug report thread.
But probably will be better to report back on the AC forums, was to lazy to create an account overthere.

Cheers
solution on AC forum eventually was Total fresh installment
they tried removing the alfa giulietta ,and let steam do integrity check
but that didnt do it
