Assetto Corsa v0.5 released

15 cars left to get (well 16 with the LaFerrari, but this car will only be available with the 1.0 version of the game) so which ones are we getting friday ?! In theory we'll get 3 cars, but since we had a massive break we might get 4 like we did on Xmas. My guess is, we will get factory cars (bunch of Lotus's...) and none of the GT3's/1 GT2 or F1's.

The car I want the most is the T125 !!! release it already :p

Well guys and gals, lets share the car you wish on getting this friday and also what you believe will be release (it might not be the one you really expect yet).

but since the AI is clearly trying to knock me out, even when i try to stay safe out of the way, my comparisons make much more sense than the actual AI itself!

Seems that your post doesnt make ANY sense...and also your posts are 90% same thing with different words.
Not answering if you understand that AI is WIP and keep yelling at us that AI rams you,wich we also know,we are not stupid and you smarter,shows that your interest is to bash and flame the subject....
If i see one more stupid post from you,i`ll add you on my ignore list,if you have nothing usefull to add here.:coffee:

Some people are not happy unless they have something to moan about. The game is coming alone fine, the AI for what it is, is fine. It does it's job i.e to showcase what we can expect in version 1.0
In fact everything in the game, in it's current state, is nothing more than a preview of what is to come.
People first start crying about 'too much physics', then 'too much laser scanned Nord' and now 'too much crashy AI'.
To paraphrase something i saw recently;
Normal Person + Internet + Anonymity = Abnormal Person.
 
Here's a fun Special Event:
You are in an E92 M3 behind 10 1M's with 5 laps to get to the front at Mugello...no penaltys, fixed sets....tougher than it sounds on hard and alien.
I made a similar "Italian Challenge" - a grid full of stock 458 Italias at Mugello and you're at the back in a S3 Italia.
But because the S3 is SO much quicker, I think I should change the stock Italias to McLarens to at least give the AI a fighting chance :laugh:

For me, the AI works pretty good. What difficuilty level are you playing? At Hard and Alien the AI behaves pretty good. Apart from punting me in the back every now and then, especially if I brake too soon.
 
No it's not. Half of the Tatuus grid crashed themself after the first chicane and i got completely ignored and kicked off the race track at the next one.
Some races are bad and some are good. I had great fun with bmw's at mugello. Finished third on alien dificulty, 11 seconds behind first one.
As requiem84 said, if you break too soon you will get banged in the ass most of time. Soo drive fast and there will be no problem :D
 
I'm not even going to try anymore, the AI is retarded. 0.5.3 did nothing in this regard.

I drive slow they crash into me, i drive fast they brake in the middle of the apex and crash into me. It's hotlapping for me until they fix this mess.

Even with the fact of being predictable I still like the AI in GTR2 the best because I feel it made for the best virtual race atmosphere against AI. People may want to make comments like it happens in RL too to get punted but until I am on a track in a car in RL my biggest concern is game play and not wanting to be taken out the first corner after putting effort into practice and qualify sessions. Probably a strong reason why I don't race online MP as well.
 
I've been trying the BMWs today, and it definitely took me a few races to learn how the AI behaves and drive a bit more defensively. But each time I was punted off I still had a huge grin on my face just enjoying the physics and FFB.

I do wish the AI cars could also spin off after player collision. Right now that aspect feels like Forza 4 AI where you can clash with them and slow them down a little but the only car which will spin is the player.
 
The Tatuus AI are troublesome at times. But they'll obviously be optimized. I feel for the guys at Kunos; They're stuck between a rock and a hard place.

People constantly nag and moan until they get AI, then when it finally does come, all they can do is complain about how terrible it is.

ITS EARLY!!! JUST GIVE THEM TIME, STOP DEMANDING SO MUCH FROM A 10 MAN TEAM!!! IT WILL COME, JUST BE PATIENT!!!

THIS IS ALL SHIFT KEY MOTHER FUDGERS!!!!

The BMW Group A @ Mugello AI are actually quite good. After the first few corners, they sort themselves out, and it's seriously enjoyable!
