Reason i love Ferrari so much is even though the car is basically designed in windtunnels they look absolutely gorgeous.

It´s a wonderful blend of art and pure science whereas other manufacturers seem to stick to science only.

I can sometimes find Porsches and Mclaren´s to be a little bit "dead" whereas Ferrari feels alive and sounds alive. Hard to explain.

I would say Porsche and Mclaren MP4 - Prost.
Ferrari - Senna

:)

Will Assetto Corsa be able to automaticly change ABS to 'ON' or 'OFF' basing on car you are driving?
I would like to have ABS in 458 Italia and Exige S but no ABS in old Lotus F1 car or old BMW.
Without changing it all the time in options menu from ON to OFF and from OFF to ON for every single car.
You know something like 'Like in the reality' ABS option.

On the same topic, it would be nice to have an automatic switch between paddle and "H"-grid shifters based on the real car.

And thats is really paradox due to quote from Mr. Enzo: "Aerodynamics are for people who can't build engines."

100% agree

But now a little more serious thing - Aris there's a thing that is always omitted in ALL driving/racing games/sims. The ABS. Or lack of it.

Many thanks for this great update and Merry Christmas for all @ KS!

Obviously. It s like this right now, You just select a car and ABS is either on or off by default depending what the cars physics require. You can still enable/disable it too with a hotkey if you wish, but this is something we might have to limit later depending on the multiplayer checks ecc... we'll see. But the main functionality is like that.

Agreed, it would make life a lot easier if the settings adjusted for each car automatically. Same for steering lock.

The steering lock is also automatic. You just set your steering wheel at 900° and the sim takes care of the rest. Again here we will probably enable steering lock setup changes because as you know, not everybody has a 900° steering wheel, which is a shame, but that's life you need to compromise. But for the purists, life is easy. Set 900 and forget it.

On the same topic, it would be nice to have an automatic switch between paddle and "H"-grid shifters based on the real car.

Again set once, forget it. You set your controls on the configuration and enable H grid shifter. Then depending on the car the sim automatically switches to paddle gearbox changing or H shift changing. You don't have to do anything about it, set and forget.
Obviously, if you don't have a H gearbox, then it always defaults in paddle shifting, plus some more extra features&tricks that I won't say right now ;)

Again remember, I'm talking about dev builds here. Everything can and will change from what I say here, so don't believe me and don't complain if the end product is different for whatever reasons. I don't want to hear any "But Aris said that...". It's sunday and the red wine is always good here in Italy :D

@KunosStefano

and now, while the world sleeps, I'll hack away the full integration to the new physics middleware... as crazy as it gets chaps.
Anyone got a idea what this means :roflmao:?

@KunosStefano
Aristotelis is a genius.. just came up with an amazing idea to make the whole drivetrain more alive and realistic.
@Aristotelis
I'm a genius I just broke the whole thing! lol! “@KunosStefano: Aristotelis is a genius…”

loool :D:roflmao:

Great news, the simpler the better with UI/setup as far as I'm concerned. We all want to get to the important bit as soon as possible - the driving. :)

Aris: remember that the G25 has both sequential and H pattern, I would like to set the controller for a specific car using the Sequential shifter and not the paddle shifter. i know that's not much to ask but it's important though :)
thanks!

thanks!

I've got the DFP... :( so no clutch/Hpattern for me :-'(
but still... I truely believe that the game will be highly enjoyable even on my old DFP

I guess when you put your wheel to 900 and you drive a car with say, 450 in real life, it puts 450 on your wheel ? But does it physically put the wheel lockage aswell or just stops turning in-game even with the physical wheel going further ?

In NetkarPRO, if the car has a steering lock of 450 degrees and say the wheel is setup to 900, all input beyond 450 degrees will have no effect. The wheel stays stuck at 225 in each direction and if you turn your wheel beyond that, the front wheels won't turn any more.

Yeah, but then does the wheel go normally beyond that or is their a lockage like when you limit the rotation ?

Because I absolutely want a lockage :p
