First of all, we would like to thank everyone who helped us to bring Assetto Corsa on Steam Greenlight. This result will allow us to guarantee a better support, regular updates, fast downloads and a lot of additional contents, just to mention some of the things that will come.
The next step is to complete the submission process in order to prepare our game for preorder and launch. This will require a bit of time so, as soon as we'll complete this process, we'll reveal all the information related to the release date, pricing, list of contents, features, preorder, system requirements, and so on. GRAZIE, thank you very much for your amazing support and for your patience.

Now, you surprised us, let us surprise you: we are proud to announce one of our favourite additions to Assetto Corsa, the circuit of SPA Francorchamps!

It's not just the most famous belgian circuit , but it is also a circuit full of history. It is one of the most challenging race tracks in the world, mainly due to its fast, elevated and twisty nature. Located near Francorchamps, it has hosted the Formula 1 grand prix since 1924, and it is still considered one of the best and most rewarding tracks in the world, thanks to legendary corners such Eau Rouge / Raidillon and many more. Marco Massarutto, our Project&Licensing Manager, commented:

“Spa-Francorchamps represents for racing circuits what the Ferrari represents for car Brands: you simply cannot ignore it. Like Monza and Silverstone, it has been the theatre of some of the most beatiful races in motorsport, and we are very proud to get the chance to reproduce it at our best.”

The SPA Francorchamps circuit will be reproduced in its modern layout, taking advantage of laserscan technology, and also an historical remake will be produced in future, in order to bring back to life the golden age of motorsport, thanks to the classic racing cars that will be included in the game.

SPA Francorchamps circuit will be included in the first Premium Pack DLC that will include also some new additional cars, and be downloadadble FOR FREE for all those who will pre order their copy of Assetto Corsa.

Assetto Corsa's preorder will be launched soon. Stay tuned to keep updated!

SPA :inlove:

Sorry if this has been asked before but is there any chance that a second car and track can be added to the tech preview? I am enjoying it despite not being very quick, but it would be good if there was another track to try perhaps?

Wow, I want it now too.
Why would it be so bad to release in mid-summer?

Perhaps its not ready yet. ;)

People are fooling around and having fun in the sun instead of buying or playing computer games. Holidays take money so its also money issue.

To me late August, beginning of September would be the best time to release AC.
After that time they will have harder time to sell it because GT6, Forza 5 and other big budget games are released. Hardcore gamers will always buy AC but they are also trying to lure more casual gamers from for both PC and console world. The upcoming release of Xbox One and PS4 could affect their sales negatively if they release "too" late.

Thats just my opinion. :)

I agree that if AC will be released after GT6 or Forza5, they will definitely loose a big part of potential customers. I am not talking about pc racers, they will buy AC even with a big delay. They will loose the console racers.
I am a console racer too, I play mainly GT5 but I have already got bored of it plus the fact that I need something more close to the "real thing". I heard about AC and bought nkpro to have a taste and see if is worth it and I can state that I'm excited with the new potential that AC can offer to me.
But there is a big problem! Of course "the money"... To play AC, I need a new PC. To play GT6 I need only 40€. Even if I'll go with the new PS4 I will spend maximum an extra 400€. In that case of course there will be not enough money for a new PC plus the fact that playing GT6 there will be no free time for other games (I'm a family man).

I wish AC releases soon, I have already decided to spend the extra money on a new decent PC, but if the delay will last long...

New interview with Stefano in mysimrig!
He says that servers will be classic lobbys that u will join and it will have a "book" system that it will not allow u joining a race in progress...
Something like iracing that u know how many people will join?
Seems cool, thinking that we have in general a problem in online in most sims
Sounds more like Forza than iRacing. In Forza you join a room, and can spectate the current race when you join but aren't allowed on track until the next race begins.

iRacing on the other hand only has one race per server instance.

We can dream but I doubt they are going to have a pre-order that lasts less than a week! lol I also don't think they give a rats ass about anything American and I can't really blame them for that. I bet we get the pre-order info in the next month or so and it will be released in November.
