I did a couple of laps last night as the only time I've driven this track is when I first downloaded R3E and put a few laps in with the free offerings before committing to buying. It's every bit as tricky as I remembered! Lots of elevation and camber changes which make it hard to get back on the throttle in places, and a couple of corners with challenging braking zones. It's a shorter lap than Slovakiaring, but it feels like there is a lot more going on!

Yeah it's easily my favourite track on Raceroom and unique in the world of modern circuits as it's a real roller coaster ride. There was talk of the Portuguese GP going back there and I would have loved to have seen that happen. Admittedly passing would have been tough but they would have looked great being driven round there.

I probably did 100's of open server races on there when I first got Raceroom (and probably the reason why I was pretty competitive when we used it on RD) so I knew the circuit very well.

However I haven't races on there in ages so I'll probably be back to square one again! lol

That first turn though is really tricky, very easy to flip the car on the kerbs if you are not careful.

Yes, things start going wrong for me once I try to build up speed. Quite a few corners suck you in at high speed, only to spit you right off the circuit! I find the section actually called Portimao the trickiest as there is a very fast right hander into a tight right hander. You can get through the first part flat, but if you do you'll not get stopped in time for the second part. And of course you don't want to be braking mid-way through the first turn. I just haven't worked out how to get through that section yet! I'll have to watch some on-board footage from the track to get a better idea I think.

Put me on reserve list please, if possible I want to partake next weekend's race since I'll be already back from my Japan and Europe trip. I can't send the list, but I'll leave my original sign up list there as proof.
Car choice would be the BMW, but I don't care what I get, I'll just race for the fun of it.
