This mod is composed of a Base and a Layer. You need both in order to have the full mod.

LAYER MOD INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS (STEAM) - Thanks to @Paxon

1. Go to the MM Community Hub in your steam client.

2. Go to the workshop.

3. Search the workshop for "enzoli".

4. Find the "Layer" mod and click it.

6. Make sure the mod is active in your in-game workshop.

You can proceed the same way for my other mods you found on step 4.
BASE MOD INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS (WINDOWS)
  1. Download PART1 and PART2 on your computer. Both parts are necessary.
  2. Right-click MM 2016 Mod 1.x.x.part1.rar and uncompress it.
  3. Part 2 will be uncompressed automatically. You should now have a folder MM_Data with the installer right next to it.
  4. Launch the installer and follow instructions.
If the installer does not work for you, simply copy/paste the MM_Data folder into your Motorsport Manager folder.
BASE MOD INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS (MAC) - Thanks to Mr Peugeot and Alon2o
    • Download PART1 and PART2. Both parts are necessary.
    • Create a folder anywhere and put both mod files in this new folder
    • Open Part_1 of the .rar file with an extractor (I use The Unarchiver but I’m assuming any upzip program will work)
    • Don’t worry about Part_2. The extractor will have included that without you seeing it.
    • You will get a folder called MM_Data.
    • Open finder
    • Command + Shift + G
    • Library / Application Support
    • Click on go
    • Steam
    • /Steamapp
    • /Common
    • /Motorsport Manager
    • Right click
    • View the contents of the package
    • Home
    • Resources
    • Data
    • Replace the resource.assets file with the one in the MM_Data you obtain in step 5.
    • Open StreamingAssets folder
    • (Download and in data)
    • Then replace only the Champ1.bk2 files
    • Champ2.bk2
    • Champ3.bk2
    • And replace the TeamIntroMovies folder

FAQ:
- After I installed the mod, the drivers, teams and staff are fake and all logos are original ones.
You didn't activate the mod "layer" on the Workshop. Please do so as stated above.
- My game crashes during or after launch / I get a black screen then nothing.
Make sure you run the last version of the game on steam.
Go to Steam then right click on Motorsport Manager>Properties>Local Files>Verify integrity of game cache. This will synchronize your game to server version which is always the last version available.

- I don't see the car liveries. Rest is working fine.
Liveries do not work in 2d Mode. Turn on 3d mode.
- How can I change logos/team names/... myself?
Download Unity Assets Bundle Extractor and open resources.assets with it. Extract textures or textassets with the "plugin" button on the left. Modify things and import file back using the same "plugin" button.
Logos are in logos1@1080. Practice and Quali Times are in simulationsettings.

Well I'll be damned!

Just can't start a new career, I was waiting for the sponsor fix and now the patch will probably going to make the mod unplayable for a few days. I haven't played the game in a week!!

Enzoli the mod is amazing btw, I have tried it out a bit.

@enzoli When will the next version be released? And how many versions are you planning on releasing?
1.0.3 is really cool I think so I'm not in a hurry for next version. So far I only have minor changes. I saw the devs are readying an update so my next version will be for this update.

- Peak Duration,
- Peak Age
- Desired Championships

I am using the AssetBundleExtractor and I do not know what modifies the pilot's retire :p

Peak age is the age driver starts thinking about retirement.
Each season after that, he might retire. Until it reaches Peak age+peak duration.

Enzoli. Is there any chance to implement in the mod, that F1 drivers don´t go into lower categorys? I mean...they may quit after 35...go WEC or whatever :D ...but is pretty bizzare now after first season. I managed to win first season with Hitech GP and went to GP2. After two races...i allready scored podium. (YES! I´m waiting latest game update which i hope will do those things impossible...at least i hope!) ....but, what bugs me, that i drive against Hulkenberg,Ocon,Stroll and few other F1 guys. I can swallow Ericsson and Nasr, because Sauber droped out...but Hulkenberg to sign with Racing Engineering is quite stupid. ;)

Not long at all. But depends when it comes out. I have more spare time in the morning. Usually gets busy btween 2 and 8pm. SO if ti comes tomorrow at 3pm, as it looks now, Mod will be up Friday morning.

This is all game settings.
Text values don't have lot of parameters. You can change names and values but not the way they interact in game. So for the retirement thing, we can change the age where they retire but we cannot change why or how they retire if you understand what I mean.
I believe game mechanics are mostly in Assembly-CSharp.
 
huh....that for me is kind of a game bug. There´s no chance in real world F1 drivers would sign backwards for lower series. Just doesn´t egsist.... exept, if you are Pantano. :D ....so, there should be a way to stop those nonsense signings. As said...ok...if last F1 team is droped into lower class, but ... drivers? If there was one...OK, but game is so bizzare that you find Hulk+4 more signing for GP2...but in F1 you got caracters like di Resta and junior Schumacher and Leo Habsburg ;)
 
Start by getting Unity Asset Bundle Extractor.
Then read this thread couple pages ago.
When you're comfortable with exporting and importing file in resources.assets file then I'll be here for your questions ;)
 
I think i need to find tutorials on basics for it. I have downloaded and launched ABE, im honestly not sure where to go from here. I saw your notes from the previous page.

Instructions:
1. Open AssetBundleExtractor
2. Got to File>Open and choose the resources.assets file from my mod.
3. A new window open with list of files. Click on and just type "sponsors". It will get you onto the right file directly. Check that it is a TextAsset file type on 2nd column.
4. On the right, click on "plugins" button and choose "Import from .txt"
5. A new window opens. Select the SponsorsEnzoli.txt you downloaded above.
6. Go to File>Save and choose a location for you new resources.assets file.
7. Close the Asset Bundle Extractor and place your new file in the MM data folder to replace the old one.

Please can someone elaborate on this for a complete novice? (im pritty much needing a "fisher price my first MOD" guide)
 
create a folder somewhere (could be on desktop if you want). Then download first part 1, and open it with winrar (or any other program for compressed files) ...then extract (first part 1!) into that folder. Same with part 2.Open with winrar and extract to that folder you created. Now...if you open, you will see only one assets file there. Copy and paste that file into your game - (into MM_data folder!) Overwrite existing assets file there. (You should backup your original assets file from game first)
I hope it´s easy enough. Btw...i noticed that folks maybee do wrong, because download both files at once. Part 2 is smaller, so it may open sooner than first part. If you are not careful, you start with second...which is wrong ;)
 
Actually I think you should have both parts at the same time, put them both in the folder you created, right click on .part1 and select 'extract here'. It will extract both automatically and you will get a single file 'resources.assets', and as dimagico said - put it into program files/steam/steamapps/common/motorsport manager/MM_Data, when asked, click yes to all the overwrites and permissions.

I'm not saying dimagico's will not work, when you DL part 1 and extract it, then maybe it goes on hold until you have the part 2 to continue, I'm not 100% sure it works, but if he says so I guess you can give it a try. But I do know that my suggestion has always worked for me when there are several .part rar files.
