'Twas indeed. Massa had one hell of a front nose impact, probably quite shocked as he noticed the car was still running.

Rosberg was right on it aswell, good to see him really enjoying the conditions.

Yeah.. we had so many spinners but they all did not suffer terminal damage. (except Guttierez) They all seemed to make contact with the wall and only lose their front wing.. Also what about Hamilton.. so so close to beaching the Merc and not making it out of Q1.

I noticed that every driver who went off had a quite bit of luck because all hit the barrier only with the nosecone (except for Lewis of course).
I'm not quite sure with Gutierrez but I couldn't see any damage to the suspension.

Guiterrez defintely hit it nose on, almost the same angle as Massa, but I think he did knock that front suspension off the rebound quite hard, I don't recall it looking as if the suspension had failed but it could be quite damaged.

Gutierrez was just a little off from where Massa hit. It didn't look so serious (after seeing Massa do the same and drive away), so it might've been something more serious or he just turned it off since there was less than a minute left to go and wouldn't have been able to do anything anyways.

Ok, I knew that commentators on my domestic channel are making me  So yesterday they were amazed that Marussia is faster than Caterham althought they DON"T HAVE KERS. Did I miss something? Marussia should have KERS this season, right?

Too bad that q2 and 3 are postponed.
I think when they continued the qualifications Mercedes, ferrari and mclaren had most chance of taking the front rows.

Tomorrow it will be dry and looking at the fp's red bull is fast on a dry track.

Good day at Albert Park today! Cold and wet, but I've never seen it rain like this at a GP before so it was really interesting. Qualifying resumes at 11 tomorrow :)

Looking at the body language of the cars through turn 2 in practise and 3 in quali, its really clear that the Merc, Red Bull and Lotus are absolutely glued to the road, so if I had to guess the winner would most likely come out of one of them. You can rule out Caterham for a good finish, car is way too oversteery and this is obviously accentuated by the wet conditions.

Hopefully either Kimi, Hamilton or Riccardo take the win. Looking forward to tomorrow!

Cheers for sharing the pic, would love to see more if you can get more tomorrow?

Did you get wet much? :p

of course they postponed it, they want Vettel on pole, even Horner agrees with the decisions...why pay drivers this much if they cant handle this amount of rain...have they forgotten Fuji 2007?

Will do Dan. Got some more from today on my phone and will take some tomorrow as well.

Didnt get too wet as we packed plastic ponchos (no idea how you spell that), but it got really cold during qualifying. I think it caught everyone off guard because the weather has been consistently over 30 degrees for like 3 weeks and all of a sudden it's like winter!

Well, Vitaly Petrov brought some money for Caterham (and he was fired, ugh), but it seems that Marussia without that money did more, much more progress than Green Crocodiles. At least, Garde's crashy driving style and Pic's 107% rule failure speaks at itself. In 2012, CTs was more faster than MRs in rain... that's quite interesting and tragic at some point. Will watch at the end of grid. :)
And - good luck to Lewis and Nico. I wanna see AWESOME factory team in this year, real Mercedes.

Thats the same weird argument they used during that Asian race where they finished with half points.

If the cars are aquaplanning the drivers need to lift off the throttle because they are going too fast. Racing is besides having big balls also about car control and skills.

Rain guru's like Senna would say "YOLO" and set a blistering lap even with 3 feet of snow on the track.
Villeneuve - Watkins Glen - 1979

'nuff said.
